Yes, I realize there are dozens of Trump threads, but I'd like to discuss his campaign for 2024. I'm pretty sure we won't see a Trump/Pence ticket this go-round. Maybe he can find a palatable female to run as VP; it wouldn't take much to outshine the vapid Kamala. Any speculation? I always said I'd never vote for Trump again, but sadly if he gets the GOP nomination I will vote for him after all. I have had enough of the liberal bullshit so I will vote for ANY Republican this time. Biden has GOT TO GO.
It won't happen but a Donald Trump/Robert Kennedy Jr. ticket would be interesting. Otherwise, a Donald Trump/Kristi Noem ticket would be good. Not only is she a woman, but there might be an advantage to having someone on the younger side in the mix for future elections.
If he picks Senator Tim Scott of SC or Lt. Governor Mark Robertson of NC to be his running mate, it will be a shoe in. * They will get the black vote. That will carry them over the line to win. * If it's an honest election.
While I hate the idea of choosing someone because of their sex or race, tactically it can be effective. Mark Robertson would be a good choice. From what little I know of Tim Scott, he seems to pull out the race card when it's convenient and I'm uncomfortable with having someone at the national level who feels they are there to represent a particular race. That may not be the case, as I'm unfamiliar with him. I seem to remember that he was among the Republicans wanting Trump to apologize for criticizing BLM protestors. It won't be but, if the Republicans are going to be successful, they will have to gain enough honest votes to outweigh the dishonest ones on the other side. I'm not optimistic.
"Oh, what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to deceive....." Both, and All, and Every political party needs to clean up their morals, integrity, and do what the voter's elected them to do. PERIOD.
Who knows what will happen. I don't think it is possible to get a worse president than Biden. Others seem to be pulling the strings, though, as he doesn't know where he is most of the time. It appears as things come out that he may be the most corrupt as well, and THAT really takes some doing. The only female I have seen referred to with Trump is Marjorie Taylor Greene, but I don't think Trump needs more controversy. I had read before that a Trump-DeSantis ticket had already been decided in secret. May or may not be true. I don't think Kristi Noem wants to be on the ticket, although she might be interested in a Senate seat should one be available. I haven't seen Tim Scott pull the race card, and I know nothing of the Lt. Governor of North Carolina. I think the Republicans have a pretty deep bench, but the Dems don't seem to have many possibles that would float on the national level, and they don't want the ones that would. Tulsi Gabbard might also be an interesting choice for either Trump or DeSantis since she has left the Democrat party.
Most of them are much stronger personalities than Pence, so it will be interesting to see who the VP nominee is who will play second fiddle to Trump. I liked what I saw of Tim Scott this week but I need to read more about him.
We probably don't need the majority but more than last time would be helpful. A lot of people of all origins seem to be waking up and realizing that they are being used by Democrats.
I'll vote for any Republican over any Democrat for starters. Secondly, they have to have the best chance of winning. Trump will mobilize his haters and encourage the cheaters, so I'm not sure he's the best to win. I'm thinking DeSantis, and Nicky Haley or Tim Scott for VP.
Hi, Lulu Belle, girl friend! Nice to see you here. According to the most recent ACS, the racial composition of South Carolina was: White: 66.51% Black or African American: 26.45% He was elected senator so it looks like some black folks must have voted for him. I think he is electable for higher office.
I really like Scott, and I'll just add "so far". I just don't trust any of them, but it's like I know Trump and I like the way he performs his duty as President, he's a sure thing for me. Someone said today he's changed since back when but I don't see that, doesn't mean he hasn't. I personally think DeSantis' got too big for his britches, and believes all the hoopla he's gotten being governor of Florida. He's talking about all he's going to do on Day 1, the only guy I ever saw keep that promise and more is President Trump. I don't see him as a day older, or less energy either. I guess I got off of your reply Beth, apologies. I do NOT want Pence in there again. I don't trust him, but yes on Tim Scott
