I just saw this Ken and you say "thyroid seems to be missing"...you don't know what happened. Maybe you threads on the thyroid issue earlier than this.

All I can say, thyroid CONTROLS so much, our body's thermostate.

Odd. After my thyroid was removed, I was put on, I think it was 80 mcg of Levothyroxine. After about a year, that was raised to something else, I forget what, and then it was raised again, to 200 mcg, which is what I took for a few years. About six months ago, my levels were high so it was lowered to 100 mcg. I just had my blood tested today, and now they want to lower it again, to what level I don't know yet. I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad one. I'm thinking that it's probably not good that it's all over the place.

It is strange that it changed so much. What parameters were checked? I assume FT4 and TSH were checked since those are standard for people on therapeutic thyroid supplements. Do you know what the values were? Did you have a Free T3 or Thyroglobulin done? Are you being monitored by an endocrinologist, internist, or family doc? Sorry if I am nosey. Just don't answer if the questions are too personal.

He just called me about it. Some of the bloodwork analysis isn't in yet, so I haven't reviewed any of the numbers. It's a family doctor but they forward the results to my endocrinologist in Bangor so that I don't have to keep making that drive.
