Kate, those appliances look as old as the hills. You would think that well to do people would have more modern appliances.

I'm looking for an excuse not to attend a class reunion. Any suggestions?

But it isn't until September. How long can a migraine last? :)

The doughnuts one is too close to the truth. :p

I'm planning on saying I'm dead the next time I get an invitation to a class reunion...

    Don't go.

I've only been to one, and I lived in the town where I attended high school until my 38th reunion.

You can say you are coming to my house:rolleyes:
There are maybe two people who were my friends in high school who are not dead that I would like to see. I would rather just go to see them or have them come here than go to a reunion.

    Good news?

All of my friends were in band. So some were seniors when I was a freshman, and freshmen when I was a senior. I'd go to a band reunion in a heartbeat. But I was not friends with many in my graduating class.

Regarding excuses... @Shirley Martin can tell them she has to wash her hare:

I've only been to one of my high school class reunion's. That was the one in in 1988 (20 yr. one). It was ok. Haven't been to one since, with logical reasons: Wife and I had a trip/vacation planned and partly paid for. Now, this coming Sept. it will be the 55 Year Reunion, and because of our moving situation, won't be attending that one either.

Funny, but my BIL (wife's brother) told me that he won't go to any of his Reunions. "I want to remember how my classmates looked when we graduated, not how we look now", he said.

I hated family reunions as a child. Even as a young adult. Have not been since early 20's. Never a school reunion. None really liked me then and as I grew found I never cared for them either.

at our age we do not need to make excuses ..a simply no thank you, have a good time is efficient :D We worked a lifetime to reach and age that we need not feel to be accountable on what we do or do not in many cases.

If you think about it, the only stress we have is from the outside.
There are bag ladies who are at peace as long as no one is trying to get them into a homeless 'shelter'.
    Your boss gives you stress.
Family instills stress of what you are 'supposed to' do with your life....
