Yeah, I watched a documentary about that. What a perv. I'm not in favor of murdering people, but the world will certainly go on without this guy.
I followed that case when it happened. I can't think of any other case where someone committed first-degree murder & got away with it. It's my understanding that "First Degree" requires planning & premeditation, which the father obviously did. And, of course I agree with the sentence - probation & some community service.. If I was the judge, I'd have bought him a new gun, since his was probably confiscated.
