@Babs Hunt , how old were you, and how did you meet your husband, and how long was it before you knew he was the one?

@Ina I. Wonder I was 50 years old when I first "met" my husband on Family Life Christian Forum. Almost 3 years later we "met" face to face at my sister's home in Fort Walton Beach, FL. I had driven in from Louisiana where I lived and he from Jacksonville, FL where he resided. Having ended an abusive marriage of almost 23 years the last thing I wanted was another husband but during my prayer time one morning the Holy Spirit told me I would have another husband and I would "know" him because he would have a wedding band with a cross in the center of it just like the one I had bought for myself after my divorce... signifying that God was my husband from then on. I really laughed at that message! But almost 3 years later when my husband and I met face to face at my sister's...he pulled out of his pocket the wedding band he had worn with his wife (who had died many years before) and it was a silver band just like mine with a cross right in the center of it. Even with that "proof" from God I did not want to "know" this man would be my husband even though I loved him from the moment he stepped out of his vehicle and I looked into his beautiful blue eyes. We have been together almost 12 years now and our wedding bands are inscribed with the Jewish words from the Biblical book Song of Solomon: "I am my beloved's and my beloved is mine." We are and we will be until we live this earthly life no more.

Babs, have you ever traveled out of the country? If so where? If not, where would you like to visit outside the US? (No need to reply until you get home)

@Ruby Begonia I have been to Mexico but only right across the border a couple of times. I've never had much desire to go out of America since there's so much here I haven't seen yet except in pictures, etc...and I probably never will see all the places here I'd like to see since I'm such a homebody. If I ever would go out of the Country it would be to visit my oldest and dearest friend in El Salvador. She has a house across the street from the beach and she actually owns the piece of beach across from her house too. Although I have an open invitation to go anytime...I do not fly...and she comes at least a few times a year to Louisiana (where she is originally from) so I see her while she's here.

@Babs Hunt ,what a wonderful story of love finding you, even after a horrible 23 years of abuse. Many times my Creator has shown me that I do not have full control of my life, he does. He shows us in many ways just who is in control.

Did each of you have children? If so, how large did your family grow when you married?

@Linda Binning In High School my first paying job was as a Concession worker at the Nona theatre, then I moved up to a Saleswoman for a Boutique for women that sold high priced clothing. Their great discount for employees helped me buy some real nice outfits. :) I was in Secretarial School at that time and when I finished school I got a job at the Social Securtiy Administration typing SS numbers on the SS cards. I hated that job and left after only a few months, After that I became a Secretary for a Halfway House which I enjoyed and found very interesting. After I married and had my own children, I opened my own Home Daycare that I named "A Mother's Touch and kept teacher's new borns for years while I was raising my own children. Since I love the baby stage this job was a favorite of mine. When my children were finally all in school I did some Volunteer OfFice work for places like the Battered Woman's Shelter, etc. which led to my final outside the home job and the one I liked best. I became an Office Manager/Secretary/Paralegal in training for a one woman Lawyer's Practice. I loved this job so much I almost decided to go to school to become a lawyer myself.

@Ina I. Wonder Yes, our Creator does have a way of showing us who's really in control and since I have been giving Him full control of my life I have learned that He really does know what's best for me. :)

Yes my husband has a son and a daughter and I have a son and 3 daughters. Our children were all grown when we married and his son was married and has 3 sons, his daughter just got married last year and has no children. My son (who is deceased) has a son and a daughter. Two of my daughters were married when my husband and I married, the oldest has two daughters and had a third daughter after our marriage, my middle daughter had a daughter and then had two boys after our marriage, and my baby girl got married after we were married and had her first child...a daughter in 2014 and will have her second, a son. around Sept. 21st. So we have a nice size Family which when added to my siblings families, etc.. makes a really huge Family! :D

@Ruby Begonia When we were younger and didn't know each other we both loved to dance all the latest dances. We both love music and have a good library of music that we listen to often. Our dancing is mostly what we call "slow dancing" where you just hold on to each other now days. But every once in a while when we are feeling our wild oats..we might jigger bug...or even do a little twisting to our oldies but goodies. :) We also have a karaoke machine and some nights you might hear us singing duets by Faith Hill and Tim McGraw, or Reba and Kenny Chesney, etc. You'll definitely be able to tell the difference between our voices and theirs though! :D

This is one of our favorite slow dancing songs...
