Where is the popcorn we are watching a movie. In the movie it looks like the hero is about to be finished then something happens and the bad guys go down. We have watched this with Trump how many times now that the plot is getting boring. I guess it is time to sit back and watch the show.
We should also look at what we're being distracted from. For example, the Twitter files, Biden's political bottoming out, the status of the Ukraine war, and the destruction of our economy and of the nation. Instead, we're supposed to be concerned with whether or not Trump will be going to jail for paying off a hooker several years ago.
Someone I read lately, perhaps Victor Davis Hanson, said the Democrats do what they do because they know that if the Republicans act in the same manner, the Republic will fall, and the Republicans would never allow that to happen. Apparently, something similar was what happened to the Roman Republic that led to the assassination of Caesar and the fall of the Roman Republic when Augustus took over. So we have to watch things rot from the inside to avoid sudden collapse.
I wonder what the founders thought when they talked about watering the tree of Liberty, etc etc etc. They had to know that anything emerging from violence would lack legitimacy.
