yesterdays roast and potatoes..and first time to make tomato and okra with corn dish, oh and onion and bacon.. seems tasty from the garden
Cottage cheese with one homegrown tomato and heavy salted local chilled watermelon. Over 100 here, so keeping it cool.
Supper this evening is a barmcake (Probbaly a bread roll to you) with Lancashire Crmbly Cheese and sliced pickled onions. And a wee dram of Talisker single malt whisky
I had a Pepper Sausage and Rice entree with a half a smoked sausage. Not too bad especially since I didn't have to cook it. The doggone heat still remains just killer and I turn in about 1pm each day after blocking off the sun in the window and try to nap but honestly today was so hot I had to get up at 3 and sit here next to the fan. Not much chance of this little window unit cooling well with that hot sun on it from the west, it gets about 4 hours of blaring sunlight. My floor fan is the real life saver and it does keep the air at least moving in the room. 3 cats are all laid up two on the tall computer case box and the other on my old Dell monitor sitting next to the bed on top of the new brake drums. Now the large cat is laying on top of the computer that I just took out of service. It is wide enough that he can lay there without falling off. They hate this heat as much as I do, rain sat sun and mon MAYBE! but I'm a believer.
Deviled eggs and fresh made salsa using my patio grown jalapenos, cilantro, and several bush goliath tomatoes. The Walla Walla yellow sweet onion and local garlic, really made it great. I will have heavy salted local grown watermelon for desert.
I am having mac n cheese after Judge Judy is over. Two hours of her everyday I never get enough. Love seeing the expression of the losers when they're caught lying. She has the memory of an elephant.
