Hi, My name is Bill Law. Because I believe you have an appreciation of strong family relationships,I am sending you information about a song I wrote called "Grandpa's Knee". You can Listen on YouTube (or Amazon for MP3 download)..See Below. It is a ballad which is not "overproduced" that allows the song to convey -in human terms- the strong emotions about the loving relationship a woman had with her grandfather when she was growing up as a child. The song will stir your emotions and further enhance your appreciation of grandparents as a national treasure and strong family relationships in general. I am confident you will like it and want to share it with others! Nice song Bill but I have a question though. Did you join SoC to meet people and have some good conversation or to sell a song? Seems to me that you’d get a lot more positive attention if you let people get to know you first, then come out with the sales pitch.
--------------------------------------------------- Sorry I was misunderstood as I thought that this was a good way for me to interact with other members as they saw this was how I felt through this song about grandparents and we could have an interchange of thoughts going forward. Sorry though. Bill
No need to apologize Bill. It’s just that for such a small forum, over the years we’ve had folks come on board trying to sell everything from books to looks with ne’er a word about who they are, where they’re from or anything personal that would pique the interest of anyone in our small community. Anyway, it is as I wrote, a nice song and shares the same sentiments as Daddy’s Hands or Coal Miner’s Daughter and the like so there’s no telling how far it may go. I’m sure you already know them but here are 10 other country songs about grandpa’s. https://www.wideopencountry.com/the-10-best-country-songs-about-grandpas/ They made a gazillion dollars so why not your’s? Oh and just a note: Ya might want to go to the Introductions board and kind of introduce yourself. It helps.
