What are you trying to post on your profile page, @Julia Curtis ? Is there more information about yourself you want to share there, or something else ? I can see that you know how to make the profile posts that show up in the sidebar of the forum like you just posted today about the diagnostic testing being completed, and you obviously also know how to post into the main forum; so I am not able to figure out what exactly you are asking for help doing. Please elaborate….. If you click on your name at the top of the page, it will open a little box with option for making changes to your profile page (personal details), and for notification and preferences and stuff like that. I think that maybe this is what you are looking for.
Julia--to start a new thread, go to the section you want to post it in, such as "Health and Wellness". Look at the top right of the screen for a button that says "Post New Thread." Click on that, type in a title for your thread and then what you want to say. Then click on "Create Thread" at the bottom. Edit to add--I just noticed you are from NB! What a beautiful place. I traveled to Moncton several times for my job several years ago and enjoyed that beautiful coast and the Bay of Fundy.
Okay, here is what I can say to help. On your profile page, you can post “status updates”, which show up for everyone to read on the sidebar of the forum (like your recent one about the diagnostic testing). People can respond to that, like Beth did, by writing on your profile page. If you want to update any information on the profile page, you have to use the little box like I showed in my last post screenshot. If you want to post on the Forum itself, you can either reply to an open thread, or start a new thread. You started a new thread when you started this thread asking for help. You have been replying to the thread as we have been discussing it. So, as far as I can see, you are able to do everything that we all do on here. Maybe give me an example of what you are trying to do would help, @Julia Curtis ?
Thank you Beth.I am definitely loving it here, born in Fredericton and my adoptive parents were born here so I can't imagine living anywhere else,I do frequent Grand Manan because the ocean is my happy place.
So If have something to say,I start a new thread and Status's are just short highlights....I just want not to make mistakes here.
Yes Mr.Brunner,I just didn't understand if that was the correct way to say something.I'm trying to do things the way they're supposed to be done. But thanks for noticing.
Even the seasoned veterans of this forum make mistakes so not to worry Julia. The unique thing about SoC is that you can’t break anything and if perchance you do somehow manage to mess up, Ken, Yvonne and John are more than able and happy to patch things up. Don’t worry, be happy….
To post a picture, @Julia Curtis , here is what you can do. After you write your post, but before you submit it, you will see a place that is to add a file. Select that and a box will open so that you can go to your picture files on your computer/device, and then you can also choose the size you want that picture to be when you add it to the post. Once you submit the post, then the picture will show up on your post. Hope this helps ! Here is how it looks on my iPad.
