How to make traditional French toast (the way its made n France)

Official Song for the FILM FRENCH TOAST.

    Lyrics:
    [Verse 1]
I'm at the Vatican, drinkin' with the Pope
I'm out in Paris, getting french toast
Tokyo saki sippin' in a robe
    Yo Japan, domo arigato

    [Pre-Chorus]
What ya got, baby? What ya got, baby?
Yeah, I got that, yeah, I got that
What ya got, baby? What ya got, baby?
Yeah I got that, yeah I got that

    [Chorus]
    I got that thing
    I got that thing
    Yeah, I got that thing

    [Verse 2]
I'm not braggin', yeah, I'm not the type to boast
    I'd be lyin' if I said I wasn't dope
Imitators, yeah, they all doin' the most
I'm the original, nothin' comin' close, uh

    [Pre-Chorus]
What ya got, baby? What ya got, baby?
Yeah, I got that, yeah, I got that
What ya got, baby? What ya got, baby?
Yeah I got that, yeah I got that
    [Chorus]
    I got that thing
    Avec du sucre
J'en ai trop envie, trop envie
    I got that thing
    Yeah, I got that thing
    I got that thing
    Yeah, I got that thing

    [Bridge]

    [Chorus]
    I got that thing
    I got that thing
    I got that thing
    I got that thing
    Yeah, I got that thing

I commented earlier about an unsliced white bread and unsliced Apple-Cinnamon Brioch I would buy and thick-slice for French Toast. I've also made homemade white bread and homemade brioche specifically to make French Toast with, again because I can slice it real thick.

So my favorite French Toast bread would be my homemade brioche. I mean, what's not to like about a bread made with eggs and lots of butter so you can then soak it in eggs and fry it in even more butter..and then douse it in syrup?

We have been using a skinny baguette, thick slices, cut on an angle. We have two bowls for the milk and eggs, dipping first into the milk, then dip into the eggs, and into the pan. (SEE VIDEO)

I might have to try that. I've never made baguettes, but I have 3 French bread loaf pans that would work:

Doesn't the milk make it soggy? I just use eggs and let them soak in the bread well.

no, just a quick dip in the milk, then the egg dip, leaving the egg on the outside of the bread, and did I mention a light sprinkle of sugar! You end up with a light, sweet slice that's NOT soggy.
