Battery Tender 12V Battery Trickle Charger and Maintainer, for the tractor. The old one quit working. Possibly power surge from lightning. It has a fuse somewhere inside. I bet Frank would know how to fix it.
My favorite thermometer & kitchen gadget store is running a 50% Off sale on timers. I couldn't resist.
Ordered some Sam-E (S-Adenosyl-L-methionine) to try as a mood elevator. Very few seem to have issues when starting off at low doses. Also stocked up on Puritan's Pride chelated copper. Availability tends to be spotty.
Placed a supplement order with Amazon and Walmart. Damn, COQ10 is expensive! Amazon charges $28 for the same bottle (SKU) of Puritan's Pride that Walmart sells for $48!!! It pays to comparison shop. I'll go to Walmart and get a couple of more items, then I'll be fully stocked.
Bought these for summer time for when I first get out of shower …I hate getting dressed right after a shower ( in summer )
9 The prices of vitamins and herbs have skyrocketed. I put an order into Swanson Vitamins for $120 today, I used to pay about $70. I don't know how there prices compare to other companies, but I've been using them for a long time probably 30 years or so and I like there products. In two and a half months I'm going to be 80 I swear, I believe Swanson was a big help in me reaching that number.
I track everything through spreadsheets. I keep tabs on the cost from Walmart and from Amazon. I just refreshed some of the prices and a couple of things actually went down a little (don't recall when I last refreshed the costs), but I did not notice any great increases. COQ10 may be an exception, but I think I switched to Puritan's Pride a while ago AND I upped the dose last time I bought, so that made a difference. And I keep 12 months' supply on hand so I get to cost average a little. I don't know how much these things are helping, but I've been on them for most of the past 33 years, with a hiatus in there where I was only taking a multi. I've mostly settled on the NOW brand of supplements, with a couple of Puritan's Pride and a few Spring Valley (Walmart's house brand, which is highly rated.) There are a few one-off exceptions. Regarding your age: You're a pre-Boomer, huh? Here's an interesting short article on the generation that was born during WW2 you might enjoy. Link
I took a look at the link it's rather Large so I'll read it all when I got more time I did skim through it and noticed they say that greatest Generation babies were Renovators, I guess that's true because THERE WERE was so many things that were available to be changed or invented. I don't feel like a renovator while I may have had a lot of ideas I never pursue them.
I am all excited ! As I mentioned in my diary thread, I was reading about all of the benefits of the mushroom, Cordyceps, and ordered some from Amazon to add to my morning coffee. I also ordered some special mushroom coffee that tastes like coffee but has several kinds of beneficial mushrooms added to it. All of them are supposed to arrive today, so tonight I will probably have a cup of the chicory herbal coffee with some of the Cordyceps powder in it and see how it works. It is supposed to help kidney, heart, liver, and a lot of other things, so I am hopeful.
Placed an order to replenish my probiotics stash and ordered a new blood pressure monitor for the Mr.
A Roku remote to replace the one Delilah chewed up, a clock face for the clock Mark is making, and more Laundry sheets, toothbrushes, and few other odd and ends.
Sorry, it is now just youngagain.com It was that long ago and then he had a dispute over the site name with someone else for a while. I guess Roger won.
