What I have offered to the younger generation in the past has been ignored for the most part. In recent years I participated in a county living and homesteading forum dominated by young people seeking the off grid dream. They called themselves "preppers." Many believe in getting out more than you put in. Life doesn't work that way.

Most of the info and advice I offered there was usually met with arguments and me being told I didn't know what I was talking about.

My advice is now, "figure it out for yourself."

I'm not sure my life has changed from what it was supposed to be. At almost 80, I have turned many corners, but I think they were put there to complete the path I was always suppose to take.

One major job changed me but good, gave me strength and how to handle rejection in a sales job. I was probably the only woman west of the Mississippi that called on foundries and steel mills, plating shops etc back in the 80's....sold foundry coke, pig iron, nickle, cadmium. some scrap business and other raw materials for the metals industry. Then not long after that MOST all the industries went overseas...

Having a diagnosis of Aspergers 5 years ago and that changed my life forever because I learned I wasn't actually "weird"like everyone thought.I just wasn't neurotypical.
When my Dad passed away,I really didn't think that would ever happen which means then I had only 1 other person who accepted me for the way I was.I wish he had lived long enough to know what was wrong.

A major change that was so negative in my life was a hip replacement in 2010, so many side effects, so much body damage. I'm reminded every moment of it.

Some have suggested a :re-do" to undo the mess, I want no surgeon tools near my body again.

Okay, let’s go for another event that made a change.
I got sick….really sick. So sick that a NP said that she didn’t think she’d see me again; alive that is.

I had a long talk with my God and He obviously listened. (Ps. 20:2. Oh Lord, I called up You and You healed me. )

About 10 years ago and Now:

Good that you and your god had a talk, 10 yrs of you talking and YOUR work helped things for you.If it's you in both pictures,

I don't have a love affair with a god as you seem to, I have anger as I believe a god is failing the peopl;e and our world. My early god teachers lied, told me god is the best, the fixer, the protector,,,,not True.

Bobby makes a good point but not only that but some folks may just look at the new posts (as I do) and not often go looking at particular topics and not see less active threads. I had not seen this thread till now. I must keep that in mind as I bore folks about my life about living and learning in a dozen or more homes across two continents that I have yet to finish writing at https://www.seniorsonly.club/threads/from-salty-sea-to-fresh-lakes.23300/ (Blatant effort to get reaction to said thread!)

Ya just gotta be a nay sayer don’t ya Joy? Of course both pictures are of me and nary a bit of photo magic.

Now, as to My work, I couldn’t have healed my liver, heart, lungs and kidneys and I was pretty much told that life was over.
My stress test a month ago was without any real flaws. The scans on my liver 8 years ago and since shows no scar tissue. My lungs are clear as of the last chest scans. Every blood test I have taken since then has been, with the exception of my LDL, fantastic.

Like I wrote, I couldn’t have done it and the doctors didn’t do it so who did? All I got from the doctors was an antibiotic, some pee pills and a good luck!

Do note: You can be as angry with God as you want. No matter how angry you get, I’m pretty sure He doesn’t feel any threats to His job security.

Mr. Cole: Must be a miracle. Seeing all your muscles, had to be weights ...or a huge miracle. I've seen the Hulk in our supermarket during his years of steroids and then in recent yrs of being off "roids" and couldn't help but think of him and your 2 pictures.. drastic as I see it.

The muscles are indeed from all of the hard work that Bobby has been doing at the gym; however, when his liver was in failure and his body was so bloated ……. none of us, Bobby, the nurses and doctors, and his family, were sure that he was going to even survive.
When we went to the VA, the nurse looked at Bobby and said that we had maybe gotten there too late, but they did what they could do, and the. Rest of it was prayers from family and friends, and Gods healing.
That is how Bobby got well enough to even consider going to the fitness center and working out, and he has done everything that he can to protect his health that he can do; but as he said, it was not his exercising that healed his heart, lungs, and liver.
We give all the credit for that to God hearing prayers and healing Bobby’s body.
