Any Classical Music Fans?

Love that one! I'm working on it now. It's more difficult than I imagined on piano.

 

OK, I'm going to have to post this. Just looking at her is worth the time. Scott Joplin's Maple Leaf Rag (as close to classical as I will ever get.)

I'm like @Tony Nathanson. Had classical music shoved down my throat by a piano teacher. I think it backfired in my case.

I like this one, even though it's strange. It may be because it is played as background music in many movies, and conjures up some memory. If so, I can't put my finger on which movie or the memory.

I do like classical music but do not remember for certain when I developed a taste for it. I used to play organ (mostly pop stuff) and towards the end my instructor had started me on classical. Perhaps that was when it started. This was some time around high school to college years I think.

 

I, too, enjoy the European classics as well as their strange nephews such as P. D. Q. Bach. I was caught by surprise when I played my first album of Suppé. He is now a favorite. Well, not as much as Bach, Beethoven, Mozart, and Wagner, but close to Mendelssohn, maybe.

I know nothing about classical music, however I do enjoy it, just don't ask me who wrote it or it's name I couldn't tell you.
Back in the 50's I purchase an album called Storms in HiFi, it was classical music with fire and brimstone. Here is one of the songs
