As I've said before, I rely on forums a lot, merely to observe each side argue their points and [hopefully] provide links to backup data that I can go read for myself. None of it is 100% accurate, but I can at least get exposed to different positions and see each one's merits supported and dismantled.

Bingo, same here. I’ve been on a couple other forums much longer than here and I’ve learned a lot of things I would never have known, much of it as you say from back and forth among others, myself included. I appreciate when they include references, saves from wasting time poking around on the web.
They try to get us to believe that our 'rulers' are better in various ways than we are. It's scary to find out this is not true and to realize that we need to take charge of the government and ourselves. It's scarier still to see that we need to grow as human beings and truly strive for adulthood. I ain't there yet so can't find fault with anyone else who isn't.
Evidence, reason and documentation, always. These may not lead to the 'truth' but only closer to it. Otherwise they manipulate us by saying what we want to believe by our most basic emotional needs. God doesn't want us to be stupid followers.
To top off a wonderful year, Biden announces concessions to Iran in the recent prisoner swap by unfreezing 6 billion dollars more of Iran's assets on the anniversary of 9-11. Perhaps he is hoping for another attack so he can celebrate that as well. How fitting ! Link
