Why is it that each time I post/reply to a thread. I notice a 'watch' notice [the pair of binoculars] next to that thread ? Have I done something wrong ??
Yes, the software just assumes that since you posted in the thread, you're interested in it. If you quit posting in it for a while, it will eventually assume that you're no longer interested. You can also click the "Watch Thread" link for threads that you're interested in, and, if you're already watching it, you can unwatch it.
You can turn off the "If I post in it then put it on my Watch List" feature in the Preferences area of your account: As Ken said, you can selectively turn the Watch feature On and Off in each individual thread. (Your display may be different.)
Great minds ting alike! This is a subject that gets raised every once in a while. Ken looked into it--and there are some more available--but there's an issue trying to incorporate them into this forum's software so as to make them available through the standard menus. In the meantime, here is a site that @Kate Ellery provided that has a lot of them that you can copy/paste into your messages: https://www.istockphoto.com/illustrations/bored-emoji
Try these, Julia: https://emojis.wiki/christmas/ https://emoji-copy-paste.com/christmas https://www.piliapp.com/emoji/list/christmas/
I got a few I put in my clipboard that Mr.Brunner sent me the link to,I just thought it might be cool to have some right here on the site.We can agree to disagree that you're to stupid to figure it out. Some day,it'll just happen.
