I think every stage of life has its ups and downs. I have enjoyed much of life, but I don't think I'd want to repeat many of them
Disagree. I am content and not looking for change but I’m not particularly happy about very many things. I experienced a lot more exuberance in my younger years.
No , not for me. Age wise I loved the 40's any of them. At 75 I am more content with some things in life.
Happy? Depends upon your definition as to each of us it could have a different meaning and lifes up and downs can give us periods when we may feel contented, satisfied, elated, joyful or even euphoric for a period of time before we loose that Joy! All I can say this late in my life is I am mostly Content where I landed up in body and mind and would change little if I were able to start over!
If you restrict the time frame to the years after retirement, then I'd say AGREE. By coincidence it was just about 70 for me. Before then I can't remember quality of whole years, just isolated events.
I have been thinking about this statement, and I don’t think that age and happiness are necessary related. I think that happiness (or unhappiness) is a state of mind that we choose. We can either choose to look for things that make us happy in our life, or complain about the things that make us unhappy, attitude makes the difference. There are things about my life now that I really like, and things that I can no longer do that I really miss, but my life has always been a blend of things I wanted and things I didn’t want. I just want to enjoy as much of my life as possible, for as long as possible.
