Did you know that there is at least 3 or 4 hours between 5.30am when sleep leaves you and bathroom calls and 7.30 am when perhaps you get a few words as others emerge and prepares to head out for work. There is also another two hour time warp after the evening news on TV ends and the wide range of programming for the brain dead takes it place until bed time when we are too tired from doing nothing to start watching a 2 hour movie. I suspect that this glitch in the time / reality continuum is mostly only obvious to older widowed folks who spend far too many hours sitting alone seeking enough ambition to get the old bones moving and actually DO something …..anything! One partial cure is a good book which can hold off the symptoms for a few hours, or days depending upon the speed at which you read, and depending upon how the content of said book grabs your interest. Has anyone else experienced this stretching of time during certain time of the day?
Basically Julia, I was trying to indicate how time seems to drag when sitting alone with little of interest to help pass the time.......
Then yes I have experienced this,I put headphones on and listen to a podcast or music. Then I look at the time on my tablet and YIKES! there's an hour and a half I'll never see again but I enjoyed every minute of it.Thanks for explaining that Mr.Roles
