It was basically another theory about the war, so I deleted it. Something biblical but I forgot which one.
I am pleased that I hadn't written a scathing letter to my senators this week. Turns out the 8 billion in assistance to Israel was fake news.
Really? Since I understand Biden was packaging $100 billion to Ukraine, I actually was surprised when I heard that the package to Israel was ONLY $8 billion.
I am not sure that was fake news. According to the Newsweek site, the White House failed to CONFIRM that $8 billion was approved. I am not sure what that means, but the figure was post on both conservative and progressive sites. I'm not certain that the White House even knows what it is doing, so I will wait and see what comes out later.
I think we’ve all heard different reports. I understood that it was in doubt because McCarthy is out as speaker. I’m not sure why, exactly.
It looks like Netanyahu meant what he said and moreover, has taken a page out of David’s history to complete the job. (I Kings 21:21) The last count I have read is that some 1,500 Hamas operatives have been killed in and around Gaza and there’s more to come.
Too much sadness and death. Too many false players. Too much fake news. Too many undercurrents. Too much fear and panic. My solution is to listen to my old Moody Blues albums. Escapism is a good thing. Denying reality is also pretty cool.

What I'm hearing is that Israeli intelligence knew the attacks were coming and did nothing to stop them. Net And Yahoo gets to form a police state. Same ole same ole. The end of the world is getting kind of boring.
I am starting to hear those rumors too, @Dwight Ward. It seems like both Bibi and Joe need something to unite their countries and distract the electorate from what is really going on in their respective locations. I saw Biden's speech was only 10 minutes long and, although he stated we would stand with Israel, he did not condemn the attacks and invasion, just like he doesn't condemn the attacks and invasion as a result of his border policy. Biden took no questions after he read his little script. He just turned and walked off the stage, ignoring the reporters.
It looks like Israel has called up all who are of conscription age so according to the reports, that brings the number of Israeli fighters to 360,000 or so. It hasn’t been mentioned but my belief is that those numbers are slightly skewed because conscripted men can’t be counted as soldiers until they are trained and Israeli basic training lasts about 4 months.
Perhaps it is just because of my age or maybe it’s because I have seen and been a part of what war does or a combination of both but I feel that something is all wrong. No matter which side one picks; whether it is Israel, Palestine, Ukraine, Russia or whatever other nations are at eat other’s throats, the general population of those nations aren’t mere pieces on a chess board, they are human beings who desire to live out their prospective and respective lives in peace. Personally, I have never been able to wrap my head around how so few can rule over so many lives; how they can determine the life and death of whole populations, cultures and yes, civilizations by a wave of a hand. Alas, it’s been that way for thousands of years but I do wonder if, through some evolutionary mindset of mankind, if there will ever be a time when leaders who provoke war are given the same death sentence that they wish to invoke upon their fellow man? I seriously doubt if the Ukrainians or the Russians had a second thought about each other prior to the war just as I doubt that the over all population of the Gaza strip had any war like thoughts about the Israelis or visa versa prior to the Hamas strikes. But yet, here we are with thousands of humans losing their lives all because of a very few who are counted as “leaders”. How so many can be led to the slaughter on the whims of any small, often singular entity is something I just can’t seem to understand.
If you get down to the “grass roots” level, it doesn’t really matter the country, the form of government, the ruler, folks all want the same thing. They want safety, security, decent jobs, good lives for their kids. The problem is that ego-maniacs always seek positions of power and flexing their political and military muscle allows them to exercise that power. In other words, there are a few among us who can’t be satisfied living their own lives, they simply must try to tell the rest of the world how to live.
