Funny I was just thinking about this 'creature of habit' thing yesterday. I know I am a creature of habit but mostly as I was thinking why that I am is because if I stop I will forget where I put something away somewhere that I 'don't usually set it' and I will be searching on end to find it, hence, a creature of habit. God forbid if someone moves something.
That is a part of the reasoning, behind getting rid of stuff. You become a slave to your possessions, by keeping tract of them. They are to be our servants, not the other way around. We end up with fewer things, and more time.
Shug, I'm probably the least OCD person on the planet. My philosophy is, "Let good enough be good enough." My son just today accused me of procrastinating. I told him, "No, I don't procrastinate. I just put things off."
Joe, it sounds good but did I miss something here in the OP? I'm not trying to get rid of anything only to locate it.
No, they mesh together quite well. We end up with too many things to keep track of. We are really cleaning out our over-load of little habits that take up our time.
I don't know. I have lots of 'stuff'. Hubby does too. So much, we probably don't even know what we have. But my daughter came over to borrow a hack saw yesterday and I knew it was on one of the work benches. We were in the garage and I saw a blue handle sticking out from between some boxes of tools and nails. Voila! Hack saw!. With my stuff, I can pretty much give specific directions as to where it is. Upnourish vitamin d3/k2? Downstairs, in the top bag in front of the 1st canned goods shelf to the south. I am definitely not a creature of habit. I am more like that intro at Mel's Diner with Vera opening a box of straws with them exploding everywhere. The box is my day. Sometimes I get something done
