Both WinRed and ActBlue PACs are reporting massive amounts of contributions, in small quantities, which are attributed to people who deny having made these contributions, so it appears that the PACs for both sides are laundering money by splitting their contributions in the names of people who have not consented to it. In other words, their reported contributions show multiple contributions from people who deny having made them.
We can thank John McCain and Russel Feingold for the gift of PACs I think. It was part of their "election reform".
A devious mind might think; well, let’s see how much they’ve written me up for donations so I can at least declare it on my IRS statement. Nope, ya can’t do that but, if the FEC says you donated 20K and you only declared 25K in earnings for a year, the IRS might want to talk to you. More in line with the topic though, I have never quite gotten a handle on how PAC’s and Super PAC’s even exist. It’s obvious that there are entities that are donating money that is way over the donation limit, it’s an easy way to launder money and with enough money, a Super Pac with enough dinero can almost ensure the outcome of an election. Look at how many DA’s are supposedly backed by G. Soros for example. He can’t personally donate large sums of money to a campaign that is over the limit so he donates to a PAC where the paper trail can be separated into almost untraceable smaller packages as ensampled by the video. Also, whilst prepping for the 2020 elections, the Biden campaign was able to buy up major portions of prime TV and cable time thus eliminating those slots for the Trump campaign and all with PAC money. That kind of air time costs millions which would be hard to do without some major contributions. Now, do I believe that both parties are finding deceptive ways to garner larger amounts of money via the PAC’s? Sure. The solution? Eliminate the use of PACs, Super Pac’s and lobby groups for Federal and State elections. Alas, that ain’t gonna happen in my lifetime.
I was so pumped when Trump ran and was not a part of the political establishment that I donated to the Republican Party. What was I thinking? They are the political establishment. They probably ordered pizza and beer with it.
Actually, @Stan L Lenhart , this is just a discussion forum where we share ideas and opinions, and not a Court of Law, where a person has to provide proof of anything that they say. If YOU want to prove that a statement is or is not true, then you are quite able to do your own research and come with whatever opinion you decide after researching the subject, and can then share your opinion , and maybe why you think that.
I can't agree more. Who knows the actual source of any info nowadays, and glad you differentiated between discussions and publications which I believe it's in their (MSM/Publications/literature/news) realm of responsibility to cite their sources, which I don't see much of that even being true.
