It's been a long frustrating time, We haven't fully started moving in yet. The house still needs some minor things done However, we are planning to start moving in soon. I've been bringing small items that I can carry into the house from the Mobile home. We are concerned that if we move in the contractor either He the won't complete the remaing work or he'll take his time. We're all doing fine now but about a month ago 5 of us had Covid. Friday the contractor scheduled a cleaning crew to clean the house once there done, we'll start moving in, I'll hire some help. We've been getting furniture deliveries, most of the rooms are set up, except for wall decorations.I'm excited about our bedroom, it now downstairs, no more climbing stairs, it has sliding door to a new raised deck. We have a walk in shower in the downstairs bathroom with a seat, which is great for me. I've just recently conceded that i've got a handicap that's not gonna go away. So all this should make my life a little bit easier.
Wow, the house sounds fantastic, Tony! I love the upgrades you mentioned. I'd love to have a downstairs bedroom, but I guess I'll have to settle for a "stair climber" in a few years. I know you all must be excited to get back "home."

Downstairs with a deck sounds like a good place to wind down before bed. @Beth Gallagher Sorry to hear the estate wars haven't been settled. Good idea for all with heirs to keep the will up to date. As for me. I plan to spend it all and die broke. I have already began dispersing some as I downsize, but no one wants much unless it is worth big money and a quick sell. Several keep insisting I make a will, but I told them no because some of them would feel slighted and a couple of them I would cut out completely. Let them fight it out. I won't know the difference.

I tried again to download some photos, didn't work. Our contractor is on the way here to talk to us, we do not know if we can just move into the house or if a final inspection approval is required. We may have to call the town building dept.
Our daughter just called to tell us that our son's house is on fire. I'm about to freak out. Our DIL works from home so she is there, and son is on his way home. We are pacing around, waiting to hear how bad it is.
Oh, no ! Did she call for the fire department to come and help ? Saying a prayer for your daughter and family, Beth. Keep us updated how this goes, and hoping they can get the fire out. Did she say how it started and how bad it is ?
Yes... actually fire trucks from three different stations responded. My husband talked to our son and it sounds pretty bad. Apparently it started in the garage, where he has a lot of paint thinners, etc. so it got bad fast. He's going to send some pictures but the area is cordoned off and they won't allow them into the cul-de-sac. Our phone is ringing non-stop with the other kids wanting to know what's going on.
