Thank you , Von! for reminding me. I meant to hang outside lights yesterday but I forgot and it is getting colder.
I think I will blame it on stupid when they made those sand islands and built on them and that huge sail boat styled hotel....
Heavy rain just turned to heavy snow. So far, it's mostly melting as it hits the ground but if it keeps up after the sun goes down, we might have some snow here.
I really don't think they have a clue. As far as I know, they don't know what causes the El Nino. It was commented upon by Peruvian fishermen in the 1600s and has been a recurrent pattern ever since. Notice they only refer to "warmer than average/usual" and "colder than average/usual". The sea surface temperature haven been accurately recorded globally until the satellite age, so the real history is rather short. We do have a fairly long history of solar cycle observations, and this one seems really weird. It is supposed to be nearing "Solar Maximum" when the sunspots should be the most numerous, but the Sun has been amazingly quiet. Now the Global Warming people claim the Sun has nothing to do with weather on Earth, but if you believe that.... The solar activity paired with the El Nino may give us an interesting winter.
Our weather has been so dry that we've had continuous forest fires in the central part of the state. Schools that are located counties over from the fires are having indoor recess because of the smoke. There's finally rain coming through...1" tomorrow and another 2" tomorrow night.
We're getting a crap load of snow today. It's been going on all day, and shows no sign of letting up.
It's time to decorate for the winter/holiday season but there's a dilemma. My computer shows 25 degrees and the Echo shows 26 degrees. I'm trying to decide if I should hold off and stay in at 26 degrees or freeze my tail off at 25 degrees.
Gonna be in the mid 20s overnight and then the teens overnight Tuesday. We got precip coming next Friday, Saturday, Sunday and maybe beyond, but it's gonna be too warm for snow.
