Vladimir Putin had a hero's welcome in Abu Dhabi as he arrived for a Middle East tour? Compare that with the way Biden (and before him Obama) was treated upon his arrival in a Middle East nation? Nobody made Putin wait as they did Biden upon his arrival. Putin moves on next to Saudi Arabia where Biden was totally snubbed. I am not sure the Crown Prince/ King even came out to meet him. I know Blinken was also snubbed there. I will be interested to see how the Saudis treat Putin upon his arrival there. I believe Trump was treated well, but both the president before and after him were not. There is the infamous picture of Obama bowing to the King. Putin is apparently there to arrange for the entry of Saudi Arabia into the BRICS Alliance and to arrange to fix oil prices worldwide.
I was just amazed by the difference in the way the leaders were treated. The world apparently has no respect for this President, and, by association, no respect for this nation. I guess foreign leaders think that if we were stupid enough to elect this man, we deserve what we get.
Yeh, my point was that our diminished stature on the global stage is intentional. The rest of the world must know how vulnerable we are right now. I would not be surprised if we were Attacked-by-Invitation.
I have heard a number of sources say that the U.S. is actually inviting an attack, as that would distract everyone form the sh** we are in. One ex-CIA guy said he was afraid the carriers we sent to the eastern Mediterranean were "bait" for Iran or Hezbollah, for if one of the carriers or support ships were struck, the American people would unite as we did at 9-11 or Pearl Harbor and internal differences would be forgotten. I don't know if that would happen or not. I am sure the web would be censored, but the dark web and other parts of the internet may not be.
That's the way we usually get into our wars, and, since so few Americans have access to real news or critical thinking skills, it works every time.
That CIA guy, when asked why he and his wife homeschooled their children, replied he had found that one of the purposes of the public education system was to remove critical thinking. Since he didn't want that for his kids, he opted for homeschool.
I read that new all-time record numbers of young adult males have crossed the border and been released. We have been and are continuing to be invaded.
Now, it appears that they are threatening us that if we do not fund Ukraine, the military is going to send American troops over there to fight, and they would still fund the war, either way.
It is very disgusting. The army has now sent out letters to many of those highly-trained and capable members of that service who resigned due to the mandatory Covid shots to PLEASE come back. We'll forgive you if you just come back. Officers particularly who can simply resign their commission and get out were/are the ones most affected. I also think they are smart enough to know that something similar can be pulled again. It may be that some enlisted were kicked out of the army for non-compliance as well, probably with general or even dishonorable discharges. The army cannot fill its ranks as recruitment is way down, so how are they going to do it? Perhaps a draft. That will make Biden even less popular than he is now and a sure sign the Dems are going to jettison him in 2024.
One of the things that I have been reading about, but do not know if it is so or not, is that they are taking some of the people coming in across the southern border and putting them in our military. I am not even sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing if they are doing it. There are pictures online that seem to show that this recruiting is happening; but i have not seen much posted about it anywhere.
Putin is not a nice guy, dangerous even, but he commands respect. The drooling cretin we have in office commands ridicule. Sad times.
