Living in the boonies is getting on my nerves. The nearest Dollar Tree is of course 55 miles away. I cant order the bath soap we have used for more than ten years from there-unless I order 35! Dang 10 my usual amount lasts a full year or more. We will have to go to Dodge next week hopefully they will have plenty.:(

Check first. Dollar Tree is reporting a lot of supply chain troubles.

Dollar Tree bought out Family Dollar. I am not sure what is happening with that, but the Family Dollar near us has closed completely. The Dollar General is still open, but very few items on the shelves, and one store does not even have any shopping carts and was not expecting to get any. That made me wonder if Dollar General might be closing, too ?
We have several Dollar Tree stores here, but none is very close to us, so unless we are happening to go near one for some reason, I am not able to shop there anymore.
It is actually close to the Home Depot store, which Bobby sometimes goes to, but he is usually in a hurry to get something that he needs to finish fixing something , so we do not have time to stop at the dollar store anyway.

I've posted the trials & tribulations of trying to get my truck fixed properly, all the money it's cost me, and the return trips [plural] to the dealer. I tried to start it today after it sat for about a week and the new battery is dead.

There has been a parasitic draw bleeding the battery, and that was one of the things I told the dealer to check out. I told the person at the service desk that the battery will last for 4-5 days in moderate temps, and will die overnight when temps get into the 20s. It was a moderate day when I dropped it off for repairs. She called me the next day telling me that it started OK after sitting overnight [in the moderate temps], so does not have a parasitic draw. I reminded her of my statement when I dropped it off, and that I wanted the tech to put a meter to it and check it out. She later said that it tested OK (dunno what the charge was for that, usually a minimum of $150.)

So I jump started it from my tractor and ran some errands so as to charge the battery. After those errands, I installed the battery maintainer that I bought and it says that the battery is less than 75% charged. I'll check it in the morning. I don't know what my next move will be. I installed this battery maintainer and guess I'll have to uninstall it if I take the truck back to the dealer. My only concern is that there is still an electrical gremlin in there that might cascade into other issues down the road. I'll call them next week to see if I can get this diagnosed for free.

    dammit

    Yup. The dealer replaced those.

I had this battery draw issue over 10 years ago and lived with it, pulling fuses when I was finished driving and then replacing them the next day. After a few years of this, I finally took it in to get it fixed, and they replaced the electric window and door lock console that's in the driver's arm rest. This fixed it for 4 years or so. Then it started again and I lived with it for more years (again pulling fuses.)

Today I installed a battery maintainer (keeps the thing low-level charged) because I worry that pulling/reinstalling fuses repeatedly removes the power to some of the components, and it might cause issues (although I was in that mode for two different runs of 4+ years.)

I have the same issue when the temperature drops below freezing the battery dies it's about two years old. My son bought me a jump starter last year. I did some research on a battery warmer for vehicles but two reasons for not getting one (1) no outside outlet (2) parked on street. You should check it out. You need to know the size width and depth for the wrap around. Another comment was to place a heavy blanket around the battery. Worth trying but I don't do a lot of driving so a jump starter is good for me.

    I got one of these:

It's pretty small and is supposed to keep the battery topped off. It is mounted under the hood and screwed to the battery terminals. I have an extension cord run to it that I have to unplug/plug.

This charger may work, as would your ideas or just pulling fuses. My concern is that there's something drawing down the battery in the first place that needs to be fixed.

I got bled enough last time it was in the shop.

It says you may need a qualified mechanic. Maybe that is what you need, and perhaps the dealer doesn't have any:p

If the temp seems to be the only problem, a battery blanket like @Von Jones suggested might help, but at your temps, I can't imagine that is it.

If all else fails, you could resort to this, but it would mean you would lose all your presets.
