New Stove And Refrigerator

I'm so excited having bought new ones yesterday from Home Depot.

The stove has a convection oven; this is new to me. Since I cannot have gas, of course the stove is another glass top, electric.

The fridge is just a basic, single door unit; no automatic ice or drinking water but it's Energy Star finally and the estimated cost to run each year is only $48.00!

The color is called Slate and they have some stainless steel trim.
Delivery is next Tuesday.

Any tips for cooking with convection?

Wow, congratulations, @Ruby Begonia! I hope you post some pictures, I would love to see the color of them. I bought my washer/dryer and refrigerator when I moved in here, so they're about 7 years old, but are still working, thankfully. The stove was here, probably from when the house was built (or before), and is showing its age. New appliances can be very exciting, I am looking forward to hearing about how you like the convection feature, after you've had it for a bit and are able to test it out.

I didn't even know there was such a thing. All my appliances are boring white.

I would do my dishwasher. My stove front is glass and my fridge too big. I'd have to see all the choices to decide what would go well in my kitchen which is open.

Edit: think they only have them for dishwashers anyway.

Yes. I did see they have them for fridges also. I'd only cover my fridge if it was a color I couldn't stand anymore.

The magnetic covers are fun! ... During the winter holidays, I have a snowman cover that has a night time glow that I use on my black dishwasher. The rest of the year I've got a Debra Jordan Bryan cover with two dogs on it ..
a small white spotted one and a large yellow/brown one ... close enough! .. cute artwork for the kitchen.


You can have fun with those!
