I received a report of Venezuelan gangs coming across the borders and establishing themselves in the U.S., mostly in the south so far--Texas and Florida being the main target as of now. A van or car is dropping off small groups of thieves in (mainly) senior neighborhoods and going through checking for open doors, windows and cars. If an opening is found, it is reportedly breached and valuables are stolen. I didn't see reports of personal injury, but there have been broken windows in cars and houses if valuables are within sight. Keep your doors and windows locked, and do not answer the door unless you know who is on the other side. Doorbell cameras are also recommended if practical.
We have two Blink camera's, one for inside the apartment that will face the front door and the other that can be placed outside on the top of the front door. I have an app on my phone, that when one or both are turned on thru the app, the app lets us know that someone has entered our apartment thru a message and video.
So now the government gets the citizens to demand a surveillance state because the government invites criminals into our neighborhoods. Great.
