Bobby loves peanut butter, and he wanted to try the powder so he can add some to his protein shakes after his workout. I just checked , and 2 Tbsp of the powder has 4 gm carb, and 5gm protein; whereas his regular peanut butter has 7 gm carb, and 8 gm protein in thee same size serving. I imagine that might be different with the brands you purchase.
Apparently, the main difference is that the oils are removed; so the fat content is much lower than real peanut butter has.
I don't tink that he uses it for anything else except to add to the protein drinks. I tried it once in a chocolate protein drink (imagining Reese's Peanut Butter Cups), and didn't like it.
We got ours at Sam's Club.

I must have bought it because it was much lower calorie than regular peanut butter. Probably used as something to satisfy a sweet tooth craving when dieting.

I see it everywhere now, this was when it was only available in certain stores. They have a chocolate one too. Don't think I ever finished the jar, it was also more expensive then it is now.

:D:) Oh I *highly* prefer shopping online. I've often said that if I could get my groceries that way, too, I would. I've been waiting for Peapod to start covering my little burg for more than 10 years.

I'm definitely willing to search the net, and then look for coupons before I check out. Most places have something available... anything from free shipping to 20% or more off entire order, especially for first-time customers.

I got some of this on Amazon, too, before my store started carrying it. In my normal exuberance, I bought regular and chocolate... got all excited about it and then was soooo disappointed when it didn't taste good to me. So I've added it to smoothies and I'm using it that way. Unsweetened cashew milk, frozen banana or other frozen fruit, a spoonful of the powdered peanut butter, and anything else I have lying around. hehe Okay, REALLY! I've put baby spinach in there!

5g protein in 2 tbsp of the regular, @Babs Hunt , and 4g in the chocolate.

Well it is just ground up peanuts, @Karen McKenzie , so you may love it like many people do. I just thought it was rather bland (meaning I'm probably liking the oils and fats in regular peanut butter... not a good thing!) But your WalMart should carry it now... I'm seeing it all over. My brand is PB2 but there are others.

Everyone seems to agree that it doesn't taste so good. I think I'll just stick to my regular peanut butter in moderation of course. :)

I like shopping whether online or brick and mortar, just wish I had more money to spend, lol! I've had very good experiences both online shopping at amazon.com. Amazon.com has upped the amount for free shipping to $49 now. I like the things I can find online and sometimes online is cheaper. Especially now with ebates.com or retailmenot.com you can get money from shopping online from ebates.com or get great discounts from retailmenot.com, groupon.com too. I've had positive experiences only even when I had to return the item which was a microwave oven that was on rollback that just didn't work. It's so good to order such items online and get it shipped through the mail because we have no car and have to depend on my family for any car transportation, so this was sweet for us, but the oven didn't work, so we returned it locally to Walmart. It was a snap to return, got my money back quickly and everyone was nice about it.

I do a large part of my shopping online, including some of my grocery shopping. We don't have any department stores near us and have a reason to drive into Bangor at least once a week, but I still buy more stuff online than off. It's easier and cheaper. I love book store and will sometimes stop at Books a Million, which was much better when it was a Borders store. Even then, if I find something I like, I usually buy it later from Amazon.com. Yeah, I know that this is what's contributing to the closing of bookstores all over, but it would happen even if I chose to spend the higher prices to buy it in the store.

I do quite a bit of online shopping these days. I have no car and getting to the shopping centers is too difficult. I bought everything online, from clothes to tools and parts to books to even guns. Got stuck a few times. Once, I bought "a nice collection of catalogs" that turned out to be a couple of flyers from a farm store. Another time, I bought a "newly rebuilt .22 pistol" that was missing parts.
Even when you know how to read between the lines, it still can be a crap shoot.

We almost always check out the prices on Amazon before buying anything anymore. It is not always better on Amazon, but it is always worth checking it out to see.
We also look for the refurbished items when shopping online, and you can sometimes get things at a substantial savings from just buying a new one.
We have some things on a subscription from Amazon, like toilet paper and paper towels that we know we will be needing on a regular basis.
When we don't need something right away, I will often get the slower shipping and then I get credits towards books or movies. We doin't rent many movie; but I do like to get books, so it is a great option.
Now that I am also using the Elite Deals Club, having Amazon Prime has been an even better savings, plus extra credit for books.
The Elite Deals gives you products to try at a subsstantial discount, and then you write a review about the product on Amazon. They don't always have things that i want or need; but when they do, I save a lot of money using the discounts.

Hi everyone-I just joined yesterday and this is my 2nd post! This is wonderful :)

I like both online and out and about shopping, although I have to say that I am probably doing more online shopping. I agree with the others that when I go out shopping it's mostly a social event with a girlfriend, or I am on a mission to find something that I need to touch! Ever since becoming an Amazon Prime member, online shopping has become more attractive since I don't have to pay for shipping. There are still some things that I like to see for myself such as yarn and some clothing. But I've even taken to ordering makeup and drugstore type items on line...it's so convenient!
