Why is it that when a person eats a fast food hamburger, it is declared "nasty, gross, unhealthy, etc." but when they make an identical burger at home it's just food? Can someone explain this conundrum to me? Does wrapping food in paper transform it into a death trap somehow?

Is there something you've wondered about? Post it here so we can figure out these puzzles. :D

I don't know.... but personally, I really like a big, ol, fat, greasy Burger King whopper. And fries .... with a diet Pepsi. (Coke, whichever.) I figure the aspartame soaks up the grease, so it becomes healthy. :D

Beth, I'd have so many "why is it?", they'd be way to controversial and probably start a riot on Ken's forum. I definitely don't want to do that. LOL

Why is it that when wildlife invades our space it's thought of as 'their space' and we've taken it over? I say No, no Nanette you've got it backwards. It's 'our space' now and they are not privy to destroy and disrupt it. Why is it that humans can think for wildlife? They don't care what humans think.

Why is it that people "Oooh" and Ahhhh" over wildlife in their yards, but when they see a dog wandering around they wet their pants???

I got exposed to real liberal wildlife ideas here in Hawaii. There is a movement to have whales declared "non-human persons" so they will have the same rights as people. What can I say?

So John B. I asked myself what does krill have to do with whales, so I googled it and learned something today. Krill is eaten by whales. So I understand and can laugh at your response to @Don Alaska 's post.

A blue whale is 100' long and weighs over 150 tons (300,000#).
One krill is about 1/2" long.

A single blue whale eats 4 tons (8,000#) of food each day, the bulk of it being krill.

    It's crazy.

Going back to the first post about hamburgers. When Wimpy (remember them?) first 'invented' them, they were hailed as 'a square meal in a round bun'...there was protein, salad and carbohydrate. Now it is called 'junk food'. That term should only be used for things which have no nourishment in them, which is not the case with hamburgers.

I tell ya, if it's not organic it's not healthy these days. I'm always disqualified on health food surveys because those are the only choices listed and my answers are always 'NO.'
