I exchanged my "dancing Breville" bread machine for another one; that unlevel leg thing was too annoying. Amazon was sold out so I had to return that one, then order the replacement from Dillard's Department Store. Strange that so many places are sold out of that particular machine so I had to hunt around to find it in stock. The replacement arrived today and I have a test loaf in there right now. Happy to note that the machine is level and no dancing. Tomorrow I'm going to try the Wolfgang Puck pizza dough in there.
I stumbled across this youtube channel; Chef Darren McGrady who was chef to the Royal Family. I'm going to try this Irish Soda Bread recipe. He also has a shortbread recipe that looks good.
I don't have the skills or patience to do this well. I have a bread maker but the one I have never did as well as the old one. The bread comes out too burned on the bottom and too wet inside. I had fiddled with ingredient proportions to no avail. I assumed it contains a faulty thermostat or something. Someday I may try a more modern unit and give it a go once again.
I've said it many times...if I did not have a stand mixer, I would not make the breads and pizzas that I do. I've done the manual kneading in the past, but that ain't gonna happen again. I've never tried a bread maker.
