I think that star athletes from high school on up have gotten away with a multitude of sins ever since there's been athletics. That applies to all forms of entertainment. Sinatra was widely known for "not taking no"...and people were fine with that.
I agree and I feel that all history needs to be known and some celebrated, including the strong men who founded this nation. We all benefit from these brave men who most had hard challenging lives in doing so. United we stand or divided we fall.
I suppose it is appropriate since the statue is at a sports arena. I'm not a sports fan so I don't really know what he's famous for.
Me too, I remember hearing about some getting shot down in a Chinook helicopter back when Barry was prez. They were loaded in it and were all special forces guys. But guess that's another topic. I do agree with you though, it was a very bad decision on his part.
