The origin of the universe and our life here on planet Earth has always been a philosophical concern for intellectual people seeking more than just daily satisfaction or pleasure in life. It inevitably leads to the questions:

    Who am I?
    Why am I here?
Is there a purpose to my life?
    Is this all there is?

Religion generally answers these questions, though obviously in different ways. Even Atheism joins in with a relevant belief system that addresses these questions.

Most people form their religious belief systems when they're young and impressionable - generally by influence of their family. But as we grow older, wiser, and closer to realizing the temperance of our lives here, these questions should become more important or seemingly relevant to us - enough to desire truth in the matter.

I can think of no more foundational issue that gets to the heart of this matter than evolution versus creation. The first premise holds that you're an animal, here by accident, for no purpose other than survival and propagation, and with no future beyond this earthly, human life. The second premise holds that you're a specially created being, distinct from all other animals, created by a supernatural being beyond time, space, and matter. Such a creator would have to be immensely powerful and intelligent, possess a mind, conscience, and love in order to instill those qualities into his creation, and certainly have a significant reason for bringing such an awesome creation into existence - thus suggesting a purpose for our lives and possible existence for a spirit or soul also within ourselves.

To date, the Judeo-Christian Bible best details (or represents) the creation premise, and it has been Christian scientists and apologists that have elevated the evolution-creation debate to an essential matter for determining religious belief. In other words, evolution is consistent with atheistic beliefs and creation is consistent with godly beliefs. Despite misguided Christians who try to blend the two, they are not compatible concepts.

So, why does evolution versus creation matter? I'd suggest that it serves as the world view foundation for one's religious beliefs, and those religious beliefs provide the answers to the above questions that everyone, sooner or later, should care about considerably.

Shall I receive any interest or agreement with this before spending time to summarize some of the best evidence for creation?

I think it should matter to us as individuals, but it shouldn't matter to us what someone else chooses to believe. This goes both ways. I don't down someone for their opinion and prefer when people don't down me for mine.

JMHO, but you aren't going to change anyone's mind as the previous threads on this topic have shown.

When I was studying the Bible and Anglo-Saxon history, I found some proof of them being from the Tribe of Dan which was a man of ships and a seafarer. Language wise, aka the Danes,Danube, and Danial. These would be from The House of Israel which is connected but apart from the House of Judah. Jacob and other names also.
I forgot much of it now. But it was an interesting study.

Historic evidence indicates that the Danaan were the seafaring Biblical tribe of Dan -- and were therefore part of the Hebrew Exodus. The Bible tells us that the tribe of Dan were seafarers who “stayed in their ships” (Judges 5:17). The Bible also gives much other evidence of Hebrew seafaring in ancient times, as related in our companion study Ancient Hebrew Sea Migrations.

There is also evidence that there were people from Ancient Egypt who came to these Isles. I say Isles because it seems they went to Ireland first. It looks as though there were more than one 'exoduses'...there must have been a large number of people to have made such an impact. There has been Jewish people in Britain for a very long time...I wish more people were aware of that and not see them as foreigners.
I have wondered why the Saxons regarded the Ancient Brits as foreigners. It may be because they didn't originate in Europe, but came from the Middle East.

According to the Bible and some ancient history we all came out of Africa, then because most had different ideas about things, we were separated out of Babel, meaning no man on earth had his own 'homeland', so to speak.
As we scattered and formed, we became different types of people with differing beliefs and cultures. I don't know, guess it is all according to if we believe the scriptures or evolution.
Maybe the ancient Brits changed their identity? Guess DNA may help.

I'm not doubting you, but I've read the Bible many times over both straight through and with several study guides, and I don't recall encountering this. But it might have been a single phrase or verse I glossed over without noticing it. (For example, Moses married a Cushite woman, and I never realized until now that meant she was likely from Ethiopia.)

Can you direct me to a verse I could read on us originating in Africa?

I think the theory of all humans originating in Africa is wrong. I think it's only a matter of time before evidence is found which proves that life evolved on different parts of the earth at roughly the same time.
How can anyone seriously believe that it's possible for a species to change into something so completely different? Recent discoveries have revealed an advanced civilisation in what is now Russia/Turkey. This is perhaps where the Caucasians originated. Abraham is said to have originated in this area, and he was a highly educated man, not the common peasant we are led to believe. The Druids also seem to have gained their knowledge in this region.

Even more illogical would be that all lifeforms just rose up out of the proverbial muddy ooze, and at the same time.
Celia maybe we're all wrong, don't know.

I also did intense studies back in the days when I was able to comprehend and remember, but now I'll just have to leave it up to you to find how I came to that conclusion. I wrote it so I must have been convinced of it sometime in my past.

Yes, and even in the Bible, like Cain slew Abel, although there were only 3 people on earth at that time, Adam, Eve and Cain, yet Cain went to the land of Oz and found a wife.
Who were the people of Cains wife?
I don't believe we are just matter without a soul; I think the proof is in the conscience of man. I don't think it is proven that animals have a conscience. Plus, I know for a fact there is a spiritual world. I've had OBE's and other paranormal experiences.
Also, the Bible told us long before we realized that the Earth hangs in the universe upon nothing.

    "
    Job 26:7-13
Job 26:7-13 NKJV He stretches out the north over empty space; He hangs the earth on nothing. He binds up the water in His thick clouds, Yet the clouds are not broken under it."
