I ordered chicken from Walmart, and was going to have a roast chicken and baked butternut squash. Then, walmart sent me their little out-of-stock message for the chicken; so an abrupt change of plans. We still had some hamburger that needed to be used up, so the menu changed to meatloaf and baked Butternut squash, and it is in the toaster oven as I write. I should have known better than to order the 2-pack of chicken. If I had ordered the single one, and ordered 2 of those, they would probably have sent them to me, but the 2-pack was cheaper per pound, and (silly me) I ordered that instead.
Dinner tonight was Fajitas and Nachos! Got an amazing premixed pack of fresh pork with citrus fajitas spices added onions and peppers. Made a batch of Nachos from corn chips, mozzarella and hot/spicy salsa... Speaking of Nachos, the first time husband and I had some was circa mid-1980s at a restaurant known then as "Fat Albert's". My very first pizza was 1968 from a corner restaurant which had just hired an Italian chef. I didn't get much of that family jumbo cheese and pepperoni pizza. My sibling thought it'd be fun to give me her leftovers as I was getting ready for bed round 7pm (yeah I had school the next day, so Papa was taking care of my hair...) Anyway, as there was lactose intolerance the cheese on the slice had been removed, there was no pepperoni and barely any tomato sauce.... A decade later, I was working and my very first meal was me going to a pizza place and ordering my very own personal pizza, pepperoni, mushrooms and extra cheese, thanks, I'm not lactose intolerant lol. That one was so good, it began a lifetime love for the frisbee treat LOL LOL LOL
Fish Bites, Scampis, Chips and Tartare Sauce, washed down with a split can of deliciously cool Cider. Cold creamy rice pudding for dessert with a cup of decaffeinated tea. Awwww.., bliss!
