I was going to say it's cold here in eastern Washington State, but it's really 52F degrees, so not so cold. Despite that, I've got a little portable heater going. LOL

It didn't make it above freezing yesterday here, but it got close. I have been firing up the woodstove in the big greenhouse trying to thaw things out over there. I have decided to just open the ventilation when the temperature gets above 40 which is supposed to happen this weekend. I have to ride the snowmobile over there as I cannot wade through the snow and am too lazy to use snowshoes or skis, so.... More wet snow is supposed to be on the way and a possibility of rain on Sunday and temps around 40 F.

My good neighborhood teenager came and shoveled 9 inches of snow off my driveway and sidewalk a little while ago. My side of town avoided the worst of it yesterday but we got dumped on last night.

It's all good though. We've been so dry the last few years and this year the entire state is really wet. We have to fill up those reservoirs so that lettuce grows in California. :D

Well, if there was a storm during the night I slept through it. I did read that several counties hundreds of miles away got hit pretty bad with the loss of 3 lives.:(

Shoot! I plan to pull out the smallest lawn tractor I have to use it as a 4 wheeler to drive around my tiny farm when the ground dries up. That's lazy!

Jake wants a tractor but if that happened, he would always be clearing or moving something. Plus who can afford one now.

It's a beautiful Saturday morning with clear blue sky, sunshine, that gentle breeze flowing through the dead seedlings from last Spring and birds nipping and napping at bugs for breakfast that I can't see.

We're having a rainy weekend. It rained 2" overnight and is still gray and overcast. More rain coming.

I have a small tractor and I don't know what I would do without it now. I bought it on the advice of my doctor at the time. I know @John Brunner also has one that is a good bit larger than mine too. Maybe others here have them. You don't know what you need them for at first, but then you find a million uses for them from garden prep, land clearing and mowing, to carrying heavy stuff from one place to another. I can also add snow blowing and plowing, which won't be a thing for you, but maybe putting a shovel on the back or a posthole auger would be up your alley.

    Redbud seedlings.jpg

Yeah on my Redbud tree. Last year was their second appearance. I guess it's a cycle of some kind. I picked them off the year before and they came back so I left them alone to see what would happen next. Nothing they just hung there all winter. I read that you can eat them when green, cooked of course.

I thought you were talking about little tomato seedlings out there:). I would call those seed pods or something.
