Yes, Lilith is from Jewish mythology...I just did google this. And I find no Lilith mentioned in the Book of Genesis in the Old Testament of the Bible.

And I apologize @Yvonne Smith that somehow we have gotten off of your topic of Dinosaurs once again.

I don't believe you'll find "Lilith" in Genesis, although Isaiah mentions someone by that name. Lilith is part of Jewish mythology, although she is not mentioned in the Torah. Here is some information about Lilith, and links to additional information can be found here.

There are several references to what might be referring to a dinosaur in the Bible, however; such as those of a "behemoth" or "leviathan," either of which may be referring to a dinosaur. See Job 40:15-24, Job 41:1-34, Isaiah 27:1, Psalms 104:26, and perhaps others.

Biblically speaking there is another issue with your theory for me Hannah. God said in Genesis 1:26 "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness..." If God made man in His image then it would not seem logical in my opinion that He would evolve the rest of mankind from the image of one of the animals that He made.

Until archelogists actually began finding dinosaur bones, and started putting them together and telling us what a dinosaur looked like, people had no idea that there were creatures like this that had existed in the past, and no longer existed. There were all kinds of animals (not to mention fish or sea creatures) that no one knew had even existed, and quite possibly, there were some that still existed (and may still exist in remote areas) and people just accepted that they belonged here.
This short video has some very interesting photos of what looks like a pterosaur or similar prehistoric reptile-bird that had been shot and killed around the time of the Civil War.
The American Indians talked about a giant bird that they called a Thunderbird, and certainly, a pterosaur would have been perfect to be called that.
If birds like Blue Herons can catch and eat gophers and groundhogs, then certainly a gigantic bird like these pictured would be capable of grabbing a lamb or even a small child; so if one was seen, the men would have been trying to kill it.
There are many other youtube videos of similar creatures that have been sighted recently, and they were taken by people who were in an area that is remote.
If a pterosaur were seen from a long distance away, most people would have just assumed that they were seeing an eagle, and maybe not have even tried to photograph it, and others discovered after they looked at their pictures that it was actually not an eagle at all.

The rest of creation, God made with a word but he formed mankind with his hands. As far as questions of where the dinosaurs might fit into the time frame, some of those in the early church didn't believe in 24-hour days of creation. In 193 AD, Clement of Alexandria questioned, "How could creation take place in time, seeing time was born along with things that exist."
