Wow. You can find this on 60 Mintues ... I am still listening to this and find it scary and feel it is true. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/havana-syndrome-russia-evidence-60-minutes/ Have you heard about this?
Hedi, it has an ad blocker on it, could you give us a hint about what it says? I don't know what to look for on 50 minutes.
Havana Syndrome is likely a real thing. We also have directed energy weapons, but I don't know if we have used them and, if we did, in what context they were used. I believe I heard they were used in Iraq, but I have no real evidence to support that. Something definitely happened in Havana, and it was initially believed to be some kind of listening device that was targeting the U.S. Embassy there (or Consulate--I don't know which we have there). The 60 Minutes piece contends it is a weapon that can target individuals, but I find that unlikely. It would be used against groups if it were used. Putin is not a nice man, and that supports my idea that he doesn't have to jail someone to execute them.
@Don Alaska - sorry, but really believe it has and does and will continue. It would be different if it were just random citizens here and there. Also, there is evidence in black and white, written in Russian about them doing this vary thing. Watching the video or the program is much more in depth and the one I posted- is fairly recent.
I don't know where we disagree. The Russians certainly did something of the kind In Cuba. I just haven't seen proof that they used it elsewhere. They may well have done so. I also read things that said we used something similar in Afghanistan, but no proof there either. Just because I read something that is alleged doesn't mean it is true. There are too many agenda-driven commentators out there.
I recall hearing of this years ago. I did not watch the video (I have rural internet), but a quick WIKI scan reminded me that US intelligence personnel and their families experienced this in several countries, including here in the states.
