It seems our drivers department records have all been snatched up by hackers. They say the chances of finding the hackers is slim to none. I might say the same about the people paid to protect our information, slim to none our stuff will be safe. Hopefully if by chance they hack my bank account they will feel sorry for me and send me a few bucks. !!! Morning local news is saying stay tuned to a conference by state officials today at 10:30am central time. They will advise us as to what we can do to protect our information. I would give them a hint, fire yourself and all those responsible for allowing our stuff to now be in the hands of either a Russian, or a Chinese person now dreaming about that new Mercedes and 4 bedroom home on the cliffs overlooking the Pacific. Sarcasm Intended
Wouldn't it be more likely to be for fake driver's licenses for illegals? Would increase the dem vote if id is needed? Our city actually started a warning of property title theft to gmail accounts a couple of years ago.
Today they need nothing, they get free transportation and housing and food and education so a drivers license is kinda out of style for an illegal. I don't believe making driver license has become too hard for them and they never used list of names. Today we have those light changing what cha ma callits embedded but they still mimick those using laser printers. Normal employees would never notice any difference in one and only trained police or agents would really be able to spot a bad one. We still have a lot of counterfeiting of small bills, that was what that dope head that died fighting the policeman was doing, he was passing 20s. You know the one " I can't breathe" after resisting arrest for 30 minutes. I have a normal driver license and not one of those ID only ones. I figure this came out of Russia due to our supplying Ukraine they have a grudge and this is only a taste of things to come from them or their KGB, not the common citizens.
The Russians said they were going to shut down the European banking system today. I haven't seen anything about banks, but the Port of Rotterdam was attacked, and many companies in the UK have been hacked. Some U.S. government agencies were hacked, but so far the only one admitting an attack was the Dept. of Energy. Ernst and Young Accounting was attacked. Many are saying the rest of the hacks have not been made public.
I just flashed on a video on my smart-tv about Oregon's DMV records being hacked. I can't remember how many millions of people they said got hacked. I listened up since all my life-long friends live there, as well as my family members live there. I don't know what this is all about, yet I'll see if I can find the video:
Not to worry, we've got an inside man ..... slo joe biden. He has tenure with just about anyone that would be interested in hacking us.
Just the other day, I was reading about some of the radar stations not working all across America, and they had maps of this on Twitter, and then we had some bad storms. Today, the news is about some of the 911 emergency lines not working in several states. Not the whole state being out, but parts of several states have their emergency service non-functional. Here is the map showing some of the outages that were happening. this is several hours old, so the situation may have changed by now; but it definitely looks like we have some terrorist cells messing with our infrastructure, and now our power grid, or maybe cyber attacks from China or somewhere.
Also, online attacks, like the one that hijacks your computer, tells you to call Microsoft, which of course we don't, we just disconnect shut down, wait. I try to climatize in case we lose power, I keep AC on 80, but Jake likes it lower, but then if something happens the change could be dangerous for us being used to fall type temp in hot Florida summer. Already in the low 90s here. They let in these threats, since they have places all over the world to run to. or set up here.
It's hard to know what to think because cyberattacks have been ongoing for years now, mostly coming from China. It's probably fair to say that much of what isn't coming from mainland China is coming from areas under Chinese control or influence. It's not that we don't have enemies elsewhere as well, including those holding many top-level positions in our government, some of them elected, but China seems to be particularly adept at cyberattacks.
What I am sure of is there are many, and like you say @Ken Anderson, many in America that want to see especially the average people to be brought to their knees, literally. To be under control, makes me think Covid was just a test-run to see how well they might complete the task. Opening the borders has to me and what historical knowledge I am of the government of the US, the worst I know of. The big money behind the democrats wants to run the show they've already begun to run.
Hacking groups in both China and Russia have been responsible for cyber outages. Some are just probing attacks to see how far they can get into systems and some are warnings to those in the know to show what they can do. Both Russia and the U.S. have been messing with the GPS systems and are confusing pilots in some areas. I think both Iran and Israel have now tampered with GPS satellites over their respective to make it more difficult to target weapons. I have read that Russia leaves their servers open, so Russia gets credit for attacks that are generated elsewhere. Even Ukraine targeted the U.S. before we started shoveling money to them. 911 and 999 outages have become so common that prepper channels are reminding folks to program the actual direct numbers into their phones or write them down in case emergency services are needed and the 911 system is down. Cell service could be down as well, but you can look up the number on the cell phone and call (perhaps) on a landline if you have one.
