Great News! speaking of bantering. I don't have alzeimers! My friend who helps me clean my house (Helps?) was talking about my nik naks and I took out a gift of a volcanic glass knife I was given, made by my daughter's boy friend. I told my friend we were going to a Rendezvous in a couple of weeks and I might wear some American Indian art. She said an old boyfriend went to those all the time and demonstrated his atlatl skills. I knew what an atlatl was!!! Of course, I still forget my grandkids' names sometimes...
I wasn't banned from "Forum X" either; I just lost interest because of the moderators on power trips.

Well did I get strips torn off me for calling Tyres just that ..or colours. OMG it was like being dropped in a cage of angry wild cats. I was told in no uncertain terms …..to take my Aussie spelling / grammar and leave the forum (via PM ) by 4 members

Bullying is a problem the other person has, not you. They have to tear people down to bring themselves up. They will never be up. But use language to hurt, thinking it gives them strength. I am sorry you had to go through that. But walking away works. If in the end everyone did...
My first thought is that it's a failure (or corruption) of the site's moderators and ownership. I've been on a forum where a few pot-stirrers knew how to bait people into arguments that got the innocent parties banned and the pot-stirrers remained to pi$$ on another day.
Kate Ellery, Well, when I visit Australia and New Zealand I didn't care you guys talk "a little different ...I enjoyed visiting both countries and they show me their welcomes and their interest about my other country (Argentina). I have great memories from the Oceanic continent.
Kate, different expressions and meanings of words make life interesting and sometimes provide a few laughs when we Americans get it totally wrong. Just for the record, I've never been banned but I may have left just ahead of the proverbial ax a time or two.
