I saw about 5 or so minutes worth on YouTube and had to go elsewhere because it’s just not my cup of tea. BUT: The part of the match I saw was between a female American and a Lithuanian (?) male and though I’m not a fan of break dancing, the athletics involved with it are amazing. Neither dancer was sloppy but fully in control of their moves, some of which I have never seen top level gymnasts perform and some are right out of the book of gymnastics. I think the main reason I can’t see the “sport” at the Olympics is because I can’t imagine how it can be scored fairly. The commentators were obviously break dance savvy because they had names for some of the moves but still, how to judge two very talented and athletically equal young people other than their ability or inability to keep a beat is beyond my comprehension.
And here’s one that is literally for the books. Women’s rugby? Our U.S.A. ladies are bringing home the bronz so it is for real folks ! https://youtube.com/shorts/4dfNuTwZoQU?si=GCRwvPQXkOx65V51 Now the question might be: Will it stay as [real] women’s rugby or will some 250# wanna-be-a-woman get in the mix?
A high school coach out in Oregon, I think, got fired for suggesting a separate class of sports just for trans athletes. Fired for just the suggestion. I think I am on another planet.
Well, a prophet I listen to just said a night of great unrest is coming in New York this September. But I would think if Trump wins the election, violence will ensue. If Harris wins, will conservatives resort to violence? or passive resistance?
We're gonna get Jim Crowed. They will provoke and provoke and provoke until some of us explode in a rage, and then they'll point the finger and say "See???? We told you those people were violent." It only works with a corrupt media.
So I surfed into and out of the closing ceremonies, and I learned something. The French are more screwed up than I realized.
