Where and how did the First Eggs and Sperm get together and make more Humans? I don't want a bunch of bible stuff and it's blowing me a away on How It All Started?????????? Does tjhe Big Bang Theory come into play here????? Was there an Adam and Eve, how did they get here????
They know there was an Eve. There is a posited "Adam" as well, but, since mitochondrial DNA is only carried by the egg, pinning down the genes of Adam by nuclear DNA is much more problematic. I think I read the Big Bang Theory has now been discredited, but it is not widely published since they haven't developed a replacement theory. So-called "dark matter" has also now been shown not to exist, but it was used to explain so many things that science is reluctant to give it up. Religion or not, creation of some sort appears to still be the solution to be avoided. Evolution has been tweaked so many times now, that even that may be called into doubt.
Just talked to my friend who is a JW and she buys Jevoah and dust to dust, made from dust and die to dust....
I like getting a cobb salad with chicken and hard boiled egg just so I can stare at it awhile and contemplate these things. I never know where to start...
You have posted this question in the Faith and Religion section of the forum, @Joy Martin ; but then you say that you do not want Biblical answers. If you do not want this discussed from the Bible information and religious viewpoint , we can move the thread to science and nature and it can be discussed there, leaving religion out of the responses. Just let me know which kind of discussion you are looking for.
You wrote that you don’t want the Biblical standpoint so why bring it up? And yeah, if you look at the total composition of the human body, we are pretty much dirt with a few chems mixed in. Let’s see. The problem I have with an evolutionary birth of a human is that no matter which came first, a man or a woman, he or she would have to wait around until evolution created someone to procreate with unless of course the creature was something akin to a fully functioning hermaphrodite or rather, an asexual being. If either one were to be the first human, the male portion probably got pretty tired of having to give birth instead of fishing, hunting, playing golf and watching football so evolution, being the tricky thing that it is, gave the creature the ability to give birth to twins, a male and a female and each with it’s own DNA. (Obviously i do not buy into evolution as the creating influence of mankind)
I probably ought to discuss this stuff on Michael Shermer's Skeptic Sociiety site,,,,I heard him at Cal Tech some time ago and liked what I heard... Eating a cobb salad and chopped some avacodo into it... Thanks all. Probably just have To Let Go....j
I don't know if you don't want any religion involved, but biologists have traced the mitochondrial DNA to a single female.
One theory is that there were various types of apes, and extraterrestrials chose the most highly developed and crossed their own DNA with it. This would explain why human DNA can be traced back to one female. However, if this were correct, all humans would be exactly alike, which obviously they aren't.
