I bought a Tens, the only ones that do anything are the High Powered ones in
chiro offices and I can't like their offices anymore, I did for many yrs. The t ens is
collecting dust, good thing I didn't buy a costly one.

My friend is trying to talk me into a laser unit and I can't deal with any of
that stuff as I can't walk too good, walk as I need to and push myself like to mailbox today and have to manuver a few steps to get to the ground level. Then I can walk OK on
    the level...j

When someone is tricked, lied to, and goes one direction under false pretenses of the seller,
their conscience may be seared a little, or a lot.
The more someone allows their self to be lied to, even when they have good reason to doubt the seller,
their conscience gets more and more lost , seared, more unable to correct them or to know or to choose what is right.

As far as being tricked, the ortho surgeons are taught to do their surgeries, that's all they know and it's their "business".. All these elective jobs are the business of surgeons....they do their jobs and we are left what what we got. These surgeries are dinosaurs and I believe a lot in the Prolotherapy work and due to the control of FDA etc, insurance does not pay...we need to pay or go with the dinosaurs.....

I don't know whether I'll get more involved with my friend's decision, we are totally opposite thinkers about doctors and their world. I live on ointments and just rubbed down the front of my thigh with DMSO/Arnica cream... The nerves are so damaged or just plain dead. j

That stinks, Joy. None of us needs anything that slows us down even more.

My neighbor's right knee was so bad for so long, his kneecap was 90° out (meaning it pointed to the right, not straight ahead.) He had it replaced, but still cannot fully extend it due to lots of scar tissue. We go out together pretty often and he usually drives because his large Jeep Wagoneer is easier for him to get in and out of than my smallish SUV.

I had been driving a friend to get injections in her knee. It worked real well for a couple of years, but I think they're losing their effectiveness.

Steroids or PRP? Steroids definitely work if properly done, but are limited in time and the number of injections at each site. Platelet-Rich Plasma is supposed to last longer, and Stem Cell Therapy is said to be better, but I haven't seen the proof of that yet.

It was a company called "Rejuvinix." I believe they injected a substance extracted from (or similar to) a rooster's comb that is supposed to lubricate the joint. There was a series of 6 injections.

Edit to add: It's hyaluronic acid, which used to be extracted from rooster comb, but is now made in a lab.

When I saw my eye doctor last year, she said that my cataracts had started growing over the center of my eye, which is the worse spot they can grow. She asked if I had been on steroids, because those can cause such growth.

I understand steroid nasal sprays also accelerate cataract growth also.
