Anyone who doesn't believe the old adage that politics make strange bedfellows should pay attention to this. -- The Abandon Biden campaign is relaunching and "intensifying" its campaign, this time focusing its efforts against Vice President Kamala Harris in key swing states. The campaign released a statement on X last week, announcing that it is "ramping up efforts in key swing states to rally Muslim-Americans and their allies against the Harris-Walz ticket." "This action is a direct response to Kamala Harris' support for the ongoing genocide in Gaza," the Abandon Harris campaign said in the release. The movement, which originated in the heavily-Muslim populated city of Dearborn, Michigan, first targeted the re-election campaign of President Biden during primary season, arguing that the president's continued support for Israel made it necessary for the community to send a message to the Democratic Party. https://www.foxnews.com/politics/abandon-biden-campaign-relaunches-targets-harris-key-swing-states So, at least some of the pro-Hamas crowd and the pro-Trump crowd are both against Harris. I won't hold my breath expecting the pro-Hamas crowd to vote for Trump though. Biden-Harris has tried to straddle the fence and support Gaza and appear to be pro-Israel at the same time while keeping their thumb on Israel to make sure they don't wipe any terrorists off the map. Harris needs the Jewish vote and the Muslim vote and if there is any justice she will lose a lot of both.
If you haven't seen them yet, here is a link to Trump's campaign website that has the videos of some of the family members responding to Harris' comments about Trump being at Arlington Cemetery: https://www.donaldjtrump.com/news/2d8335e6-3b8f-498a-96df-cb3e42f22094
Yvonne, In response to your post and Jacob's post, here is an article in the Daily Signal about the "200 Republicans"who are endorsing Harris: https://www.dailysignal.com/2024/08/30/list-republicans-endorsing-kamala-harris/. They are generally a bunch of nobodies.
Good morning to all- I wish a happy Labor Day to all- if you travel, please do be safe. And a big thank you to all of the men and women to work hard every day to make our lives better and our country keep on the tracks and going in the right direction. Without the working people- and not so very much the politicians- we would all be in trouble. We could probably make it through pretty well without the words and anger politicians produce, but we couldn't make it at all without the folks who deliver the goods, display the goods, fix the broken goods, and those who create the goods. Again, a big thank you to the folks who labor for us, and also, for the folks who are retired but spent their lives working to keep our country going. you all be safe and keep well- Ed
The things coming out of her mouth bring me back to what I heard few years ago in Argentina....which was ran by Socialists masked as "people for people".
You think? I have seen Socialism attempting to take over Argentina and I have seen Socialism stablished in Cuba. Biden and Harris are the worse for USA. Compared with her Maduro (Venezuela) is a rag doll.
Thank you. ...but don't clap yet. I paused my Internet for two months starting next Monday. I have to find a way to use it through my phone. No idea how.
If you have a smart phone that can connect to the internet, it probably has a Hot Spot connection on it. If you turn that on, then look at the place where you connect to WiFi on your computer settings, and it should show the options of your WiFi connections and also your hotspot connection, which will say something like “Silvia’s phone” . Choose to connect to that, and your computer will be online, connected to your phone. However, if you do not have unlimited data use on your phone, you will have to be careful how much you are online with the hot spot connection, since it uses your phone ‘s data. Even if you are online with your phone , it is using data, so it won’t make any difference whether you go online with the actual phone or on your computer through your phone hotspot. If you have questions, you can message me and I will try to help, @Silvia Benoit .
Most phones with a recent version of Android (probably 10 or later) also can be "tethered" to a PC via a USB cable to share the phone's data connection. Depending on the phone and the type of PC USB port and cable this can be much faster than using WiFi and it uses less phone battery. Here is one writeup on setting tethering up: https://www.tomsguide.com/how-to/how-to-share-wi-fi-on-android-using-usb-tethering The name of the article is slightly misleading, since there is no WiFi involved if you just want to use cellular data from your phone.
That's what I do. It is faster. Always worked fine with my Androids, but the technology is flaky on Apple.
Here is an example of the kind of thing they use to tar Trump as a "fascist." https://www.wnyc.org/story/when-nazis-rallied-madison-square-garden/ There is a clear attempt to paint Trump rallies with the brush of the audio from the Bund rally in NYC.
