I could- but I also know many people over medicate and over supplement themselves which in itself can lead to other issues. So, I would rather wait and make a determination after seeing the results.

My guru, Dr Berg says we need 4000 mg of potassium a day which would make the brand you get difficult to take enough. I got NOW brand for a long time and then switched to buying bulk and recently started taking Horbaack potassium with 250 in each capsule. I broke both brands of capsules open and tasted them. WOW. The Now brand has to be cutting their potassium although no added ingredients are listed If they test your blood for K, it may come up as normal because your body will draw on its tissues to try to keep it balanced. So your doctor may not know you are deficient. But I think some doctors are learning about nutrition more. If my K gets low, my feet swell up. What depletes K is salt. You don't need less salt, you need more potassium (K).
Believe it or not, our own Govt RDA states 4K for older folks.. I don't come near that...but I don't let myself get TOO low. I often add potassium and even magnesium to my soups and get extra of both these minerals.
I always recommend bananas as a potassium supplement. Cheap and tasty, although they doo carry calories. https://www.newhealthadvisor.org/How-Much-Potassium-Is-in-a-Banana.html As you can see from the list, you may already get a good deal of potassium from your diet if you eat a varied diet.
Potassium is one of the few things I do not supplement, and my blood tests always show I'm in the middle of the target range....and I don't eat bananas.
On the Fibro issue, when it first hit the world it came along with CFS/FM, I attended a support group at local hospital hosted. many attended who claimed CFS. a friend I made told me about High DOsing Potassium as she dealt with a high malaise issue aka CFS. The fatigue I deal with hit me maybe 6 months ago, hence the potassium . my friend even said she took 7 99mg potassium now and then.... last time I talked to her she was taking 3-4 capsules 3-4 times daily.
Perplexing, my lab comes at end of range, and I work on potassium, and bananas have very little anywa. John how you come in high and I'm so low, and yes perplexing, V8 low sodium is hiigh, do you drimk it?t
I have no idea where I'm getting my potassium. I don't eat a lot of what's on the list that Don posted. When I was doing a lot of bike riding, I would put powdered potassium in a glass of unsweetened grapefruit juice. It was pretty good. But I've not supplemented in a very long time.
Berg Says we need 4000 mg a day which mostly should come from a lot of veggies. I take at least 1000mg in supplements. But it makes me pee, which is good if one retains water. He says it is not that we get too much salt, it is that we don't get enough potassium. Electrolytes!
