Federal and local authorities are cracking down on animal sacrifices in Queens after an alarming number of chickens, pigs, and rats have been killed, mutilated, or tortured. NYC Councilwoman Joann Ariola (R-Queens) announced the “huge win for local animals” earlier this month. She said in a statement posted on Facebook that the National Park Service will deploy mobile lighting units and more Parks Enforcement Patrols will be added to the “trouble zones.” "I promised my constituents that we would bring an end to these heinous mutilations and killings, and through these actions we are doing just that," she said. From the little I know about the Haitian religions, chickens are the most common animal sacrificed, but then it could be whatever is available. This will go on wherever Haitians are located.
Just saw in CO the truckers are getting shaken down at overnite stops for safety. If they don't pay, tires are punctured during the night.
I haven't run across that story, Mary, but I wouldn't doubt it at all. All kinds of crime is increasing in the state and when the police catch someone and it's reported they seem to be immigrants.
I have been reading about this , too. The Venezuelan gangs that have been taking over the apartments and making people either move out onto the street, or forcing them to pay rent to the gang members, are now at the truck stops and making the truckers pay to stop there overnight. It is just another part of things that are happening around the country, and are being kept out of the news, just like the animal sacrifices are. There are pictures, but way too gruesome to post on here, so people think it is made up.
I read a report from a trucker who was parking his truck at home and getting another job. He said it was just too dangerous to park overnight at a truck stop now. Long haul trucking is being held for ransom. They have taken over apartment buildings and I suspect they will take over national and state campgrounds too. They will charge additional fees for camping just as they are doing to the truckers. When will we lose patience and fight back? There was a report of an illegal in New York state (I think) who killed a family and set the house on fire to cover the crime. They caught the guy, but are choosing not to prosecute him for multiple murder and arson. What the heck is going on?
Sooner than later someone will fight back. When they do they will be the one arrested and put in jail. I'm surprised that truckers haven't fought back already. Is there a link to one of the stories about the truckers? If so, I'll put in some other places. I already have links about the apartments in Aurora.
Does anyone else get the idea that our Vice President drinks a lot? She seems hammered most of the time that I see her anywhere.
Did anyone see any of the "interview" with Oprah Winfrey? Even Oprah seemed lost in what she was saying as she rambled on about canned talking points that she brings up at every public appearance. Big O stepped in a couple times to get back to a subject or question.
