I'm not buying it. Not that Detroit PD were ever angels. But "Service guarantees citizenship" today. I suspect many have a romanticized view of "our" military today, based on what they "know" about the military of the past. Truth is there were atrocities committed up the ying-yang, and quite casually.
Today is the day that President Trump is “working” at a McDonalds in Pennsylvania. The crowd outside is HUGE, all the way down the street. President Trump was wearing the McDonald’s apron, making the fires, and then serving people through the window and chatting with everyone. You can see that he is having such a great time and enjoying every minute of this. There are lots of pictures on X, sharing just a couple here. Trump is such a Showman ! !
I find it a bit scary that he would put himself in that drive-thru window. I have to hope that the secret service is clearing people to go through there.
Wanting a female president just because she is female is a very Progressive idea. Voting for anyone for any reason other than competence or ability to do a job is Progressive. It would be followed by "I want a Gay president because it would bring a different view to the office", then it would be followed by demands for a Trans President, etc. Voting for ANYONE for a reason other than competence is a bad idea. It is especially bad in Kamala's case for the reason(s) you cited.
Oh Pulleeze. There have been successful matriarchal societies. But forcing DEI was not how they evolved.
There have been many matriarchal societies during peaceful times. They don't do well when confronted by a patriarchy. See Tibet as a fairly recent example.
I was there. So far as military service “guaranteeing” citizenship, it doesn’t but it does expidite things considerably. And…using that pathway to citizenship has been legal since the Civil War. Now, I realize that there are always going to be few flys in the ointment but I do trust most military people to do the right thing especially when we’re talking about American civilians. I know that there are some woke characters who have found military service to be their own pathway to change their sex but those are so few and far between the norm that I’m not too worried about them.
I liked Condi Rice in her role in government. She was a highly educated, highly intelligent and talented lady but I was glad she chose not to run. I have tried to think of a current woman that I would want to vote for as president. So far, I've only thought of Marsha Blackburn but that's ok. There were a few men that fit the bill so I'm good. I don't vote on gender, color or anything like that, just their beliefs and positions on issues. I'm not against females running countries. I do think that Maggie Thatcher and Golda Meir were very good leaders but they were not chosen because of their gender. Both of them were tough broads in different ways and they took no crap. I'm not sure we have any women in politics of their caliber or very many men either, for that matter. I love the pictures of Trump at McDonalds and I think they are very effective for the campaign. Most families have a child that worked at McDonalds or other fast food for their first job. One of my daughters did and hated every minute of it but she has a professional career now. I like to think that Mickey D's helped her to do that. Kamala should be ashamed of herself for lying about working there among many other reasons.
Interesting... Dave Ramsey is a Trump supporter. https://www.dailywire.com/news/econ...backs-trump-has-strong-message-for-the-haters "Money expert Dave Ramsey told his listeners this week he’s voting for former President Donald Trump in the 2024 election — marking the first time Ramsey has publicly backed a presidential candidate. “I’m gonna tell ya, I’m voting for Donald Trump,” Ramsey said on “The Ramsey Show.” “I’m looking at ideas, and which ideas land on which side of the aisle — where am I most likely gonna get a tax policy I like; an immigration policy I like; a foreign policy I like; where am I most likely to get a gun policy I like; a climate change policy I like; a ‘woke’ policy I like, that I agree with?” he outlined. “I can check those boxes very clearly, very quickly on these two candidates.”
