Y'all as spread out as us. Families used to spend their whole time together; now not so much. :(
I took it pretty easy today since my head injury, but tomorrow it's back to work; never slows down long here.

Day has started, and I'm going to try to see how my "head", does today; with the head injury I sustained, from the tree spinning, and broken limb hitting my head and knocking me down. Little headache still; but nothing like it was. Just got to finish healing it up, not bleeding now; so I'll go back to it again. I will be even more cautious now; than I ever have been, after that wake up call.

Tractors working good on clearing opening for path along fence. I've pulled lots of tree limbs this morning and cut some vines. We have a big pile to drag to field now.

Went well today, got a lot done; but I wore myself down, no issues with anything, washed my head injury, while bathing tonight, and then poured salt on it, burns bad; but it will help it, "heal it faster".

I charged the boat batteries today, I have no extra time for fishing right now, but maybe soon.

I guess there's never really an off season where you are, is there?

It's not, when you think your getting caught up; something will tear up, or you will find a new project you need to do; always something needs doing, but I'm very grateful, for having enough "health", to do it. :)

Busy, busy, busy, pulling vines most of the day; but did get a new bar and chain, for the chainsaw and a spark plug; so it's cutting stumps, and trees, like a hot knife through butter. Love it, it's easy now, without a worn chain. Opening up a lot of new places, Leo and Foxy are excited, about it, exploring the new places that they couldn't get through before. Marie still likes cutting the vines with loppers, to save trees. :)

I don't cut enough trees to burn through chains that often, so I don't even bother sharpening them...I go to Tractor Supply and buy another one. My neighbor sharpened one for me using a round file, but it didn't improve it much (I didn't tell him that.) I used to work in a lawnmower shop and we had the jig with the grinding wheel on it. It worked real well and was very fast, but I can't justify the cost.

I've been sharpening them for awhile now, but only had one chain, for this newest chainsaw, so it was getting too old to keep sharpening; so I ordered three new chains and a bar, awhile back, and a plug and put them on today. I agree that the rat tail file, does not work as well, as a grinding wheel. I've got too many trees to cut, especially after the hurricanes. Never caught up here.

"Much to do", eating breakfast, then off to move some more Helene debris, out of trails. Saw five deer in the trails this morning; thanks to Leo barking at them, I went over to see what he was barking at and saw them, so pretty they are. Yesterday, Marie and I were going around the trails, on the golf cart, and Foxy and Leo were chasing the deer, and one leaped over the fence right in front of us, "easy for them". Life's good, "Have a blessed day". :)

When I lived in Western Washington and had llamas, one of them was a fence jumper, and the other one was not. We had deer that would come in the pasture and eat with the horses, goats, and the llamas. When the deer jumped out of the pasture, that llama would jump over the fence, too, and follow the deer into the property next door.
She never went very far, and would then jump back into the pasture again, but she sure could jump !

Great post, I always liked llamas, but never had one. Had a goat, who followed me everywhere, horse, donkey but no llamas.

llamas, are really expensive, from what I've heard; I didn't know that they could jump like deer. They're so cute to me, "precious", and sweet looking. We have plenty of deer here, seen a many fawn grow up here; I would go around the trails on golf cart, and see them; then just wave at them and turn around and go the other way, so they got less scared of me over time as they grew. I set the trail camera up today, to get some photos of them; I will put some up for y'all, in a few days. :)
