Many countries still use paper ballots and they still get the results the same day or the next. If you remember, we used to do that in the 60s. There wasn't as much ballot tampering done then. Tweaking the ballot numbers takes time. Do you recall when King County, Washington found all the absentee ballots above the ceiling tiles at one voting location a while back? Almost all were for the Democrat candidate and it decided the election. It takes a long time to search the ceilings, basements, closets, and car trunks to make sure "everyone's votes are counted".

When nearly everyone voted on election day via paper ballots, we knew the results that night. Since most polling places have gone digital, we haven't. Even worse, we have no way of knowing whether or not the whole thing was a sham.

Now, we're being prepared to expect that it might be days or weeks before we know who won.

Ironically, when we set up elections in other countries, the results are known promptly.

In 2020, we went to bed on election night knowing that Trump had been reelected. We awoke the next day to learn that he had lost. What happened overnight after all of the poll watchers had gone home? They knew how many lost ballots they needed to find to reverse the election results. This year, they're telling us they might need days or weeks to do that.

This was at first disturbing, but then it was good news. Thing is, why should we have to wait more than a day to know the outcome. It's torture for me, and why should anyone, have a chance to change the outcome of what should be the dead line for any further votes. There's no excuse for people that plan to vote, legal citizens, not to have their ballots in on time.

I think it takes me awhile to get your meanings, only once in awhile Ken ;) but I think you are just saying, with that dead-pan humor of yours, that ITS TOO DAMN BIG TO RIG :D:p

From watching the Democrat commentators after Harris' appearance on CNN last night, they sound like they are despairing that she cannot answer a single question. I guess they thought she would do great in front of a friendly audience, but not so much apparently.

and another thing!! LOL!! This is a good place to talk about a harris poster hanging on the wall outside some neighbor's door here in my building. I didn't have a clue who they were, wasn't asking around at all. I did wonder if it was ok to put up political things on, or around the little shelves each apartment has, so we can put something decorative outside our doors. It's an enclosed building, I'll show a pic below.

So anyway, on cold, or too rainy of a day I like to use the indoors stairwell for my exercise. It's 40 steps, and really nice carpet on stairs, wow, nicest place I've every got to live. But I digress ;) I will take a break and go down each hallway in between climbs and yep, I found myself running right into the lady herself, outside next to her harris poster. I didn't realize until I got right up to her that it was "that" person, lol!!

First thing I noticed from a distance, she was decorating with Fall colors and I got excited because I decorated mine like that, rather than Halloween stuff. So I told her I loved it and that I did the same thing as I just wasn't into trick or treating this year. We visited for about 5 or more minutes, but never did either of us bring up politics. I just had zero desire, and she was really nice as a give and take conversationalist. We talked about loving to drive around and look at Christmas lights, she mentioned her family, I mentioned my lack thereof.

When I left her, I began to smile because I really had no hate or dislike for her at all, of course I may have if we'd talked about our political beliefs. I smiled because I felt it was God showing me it is not the people I am against, it's a spiritual battle going on. It can be such a quagmire for me to try and understand why we have to be so opposite in what, or who we believe. I think I know the answer, but yet I'm never 100% sure I do.

I just wish it weren't true, although the world would be really creepy if every one agreed on every thing. Like robots, heaven forbid.

I so admire you and others Don, that can listen/watch the Left talk, I am always speaking of the "Left" in our administration, every year of my life. I admire the fact you can cope with it sooo much better than me. It's all I can do not to take a pill, or drink a bottle of white-lightning to calm my anxiety attacks. I just want to live in peace, but I guess it's time I realized, the world is not a peaceful place.

I'm grateful for my little she-shed apartment where I can at least feel as if I've escaped. Then I have to venture out onto the Internet Highway, and see all the crazy drivers, well, I fit right in ;):D

I try to listen to both sides of any argument as long as it is not really stupid. CNN has actually gotten better, but most of MSNBC is pretty stupid. Fox can get pretty tiresome as well, but it generally isn't stupid.

I do agree on Fox, but since I don't have cable, I don't get CNN or MSNBC, but I could watch their videos. I probably should try to listen, but honestly, I'm just not up to taking the chance of causing myself more anxiety which "stupidity", as I see it, is something I don't have patients, or coping abilities that I used to have. Maybe I just was lucky early on not to hear so much of it when I was younger, too busy. I didn't really get involved until President Trump came along, but started to when we elected "Barack Hussein Obama" Just couldn't figure that one out.

Edit: LOLLLLL, teach me to google what does the name Obama mean:

"Obama is a common Luo surname. It means "to lean", "to bend","bent over", or "limping"."

He was good at bending over wasn't he, still is :D

The Washington Post is not endorsing a Presidential candidate for this election. With the exception of the H.W. Bush/Dukakis election in 1988, The Post has endorsed a Presidential candidate every election since 1976.

All this tells me is they follow orders well, and those pulling the strings have decided that Harris is a throw-away candidate.

I am now reading that Jeff Bezos, who owns the Washington Post gave explicit orders NOT to endorse Harris ! The CEO is now resigning from his job there, so I am sure they are having internal conflict.
The LA Times also refused to endorse Harris, according to what i read.
I think that people like Elon Musk, , and gold investors like Cardone and Peter Schiff endorsing Trump is changing a lot of people’s endorsements this time.

I also read that the reason that Diddy was arrested was because so many celebrities would not endorse Harris, so they arrested Diddy and threatened to release the information about his infamous sex parties, and who was involved in them, and now the stars have no choice but to campaign for Harris.

Yeah, even the Leftist polls are showing her tanking. If you saw how disgusted Anderson Cooper looked at the so-called town hall on CNN, you can tell it is bad for her. There are still a lot of cheating and rigging that can be done, and I think Georgia and Wisconsin have both experienced hacking into their election processing systems. I think the Dems are hoping for an all-out war in the Middle East to maybe save them.
