Pulled lots of vines, limbs, and logs to field today with my tractor, for at least a few hours. Gave her a bath, and then came back in the house and rested. Been working this tractor hard everyday, and it's everything George told me it was. I couldn't be more happy. "Love It".
Sounds like your tractor was worth every penny, Jake. I'm glad you're having fun with it (and getting lots of stuff done for Marie.)
Thanks, Beth, it is worth every cent, nothing like getting your money's worth, for something you buy. I've been giving the vines "hell"; ever since I got it.
I know that "got a new toy" feeling. I bought a car a couple of months ago and I still go down to the garage to sneak a look at it. (Plus sitting in the driver's seat playing with gadgets.)
It's taking me awhile to get used to that feeling, I think it's why BP was going so crazy, but I'm taking 1/2 med now each day, and seems to work, I look out at it at night, right before bed, and then every morning, first thing when I get up, feels like a dream. Wasn't expecting to feel like this. "Surely"; I will adjust soon, and be normal.
I am; it's been years since it felt like that to me, so strange, takes getting used to. I'm working on it though. It's hard to believe that even good stress, can be dangerous for you. But it still feels better than "bad stress".
The tractor is still pouring like a kitten, and strong as an ox. Worked it all day, no problems at all, got through and gave her another bath, we haven't had any rain since Helene and Milton, and winds were blowing so hard lots of it, blew on by. So it's getting dusty around here, and after working the tractor all day, it's quite dirty, so I find it easier to go ahead and bathe it, before it has the chance to stick. Changing the looks around here now, slowly but surely.
It is so pretty, "to me", when I get all dirty, and it's still new to me too; I just have to make it all pretty again. I'm sure when I've had it, probably as long as you had yours; I may then be like you too.
You've had it long enough to be used to it; for "me", though, it will be a while for the newest to wear off. What kind of tractor do you have?
Jake, you and @Marie Mallery might enjoy this youtube channel, "Celebrating Appalachia." I like to watch these videos because the people remind me of my grandparents and the life they lived. In this one, Matt gets his new tractor and he is just about as thrilled as Jake. (The video is an hour long so you might not care to watch the whole thing.)
