When I saw this on line it brought back memories. I remember doing this at the end of the year they played the countdown of all the hit songs, except I recorded the top 100. I recorded the songs on reel to reel tapes.
I remember doing that same thing, @Tony Page ! My little transister radio was perfect for listening to the top tunes each week, with information by Kasey Kasim, who always announced the Top 40, and at the end of the year, some of the girls usually had a Pajama Party, where we all listened to the Top 100 songs for that year, and made guesses which would make it to number one song. I didn’t have anything that recorded back then, but later, when I did then I recorded the songs, too; but I was an adult with kids by that time of life.
Me and my brother would play guessing games as to what was the number one song. Great times. I posted "Theme From a Summer Place" by Percy Faith I remember it being the #1 song for 1960.
I have an eight a m appointment tomorrow with my urologist. I expect he's going to want me to have an M.R.I which i'm not happy about.
As I suspected, I'm going for an MRI next Monday. My PSA remains around 8, I guess an MRI is justified. Since I last visited the doctor, I've had sharp pains almost like pinched nerves in my groin. It's not a steady pain it comes and goes. They started about 5 days ago, their still there, just not as strong. I've been putting a cabinet together that we purchased from Wayfair. I messed it up and put the sides on reversed. It just adds more work, now I have to drill holes for the door hinges. The pre-drilled door hinge holes are now in the back of the cabinet instead of the front. I just found the correct size drill, so I should be able to finish it today or tomorrow.
Sorry you've got another health worry to deal with, Tony. I hope the MRI shows nothing wrong. Seems like it's always some new ache or pain at this age.
When I called to make the appointment for my MRI, the lady I spoke to was very nice. We had a laugh when she explained all the preliminary things I had to do before the MRI. " No eating 4 hours before, no drinking 1 hour before, 2 fleet enemas, 1 the night before after dinner, the other the morning of." "Then she said apologetically I have to read you this it's on the list, your not to drink the enemas," I said. "I've read some people put it in the wrong hole there Built backward." I heard her laugh, she said " I can't believe people have actually did that" I said " today anything's possible.
I wish you the best @Tony Page. An 8 PSA in very inconclusive...almost normal for guys our age. I hope the imaging goes well.
Today we Celebrated my granddaughter's 7th birthday. My daughter made the BD cake. It was very good, even though it wasn't from scratch. I guess you can tell she loves Owls.
It's back to the hospital today, I'll be taking my wife there for her mammogram. I look forward to it today because I'll have time while I'm sitting in the car waiting to organize things in my head that have to be done. I'm scheduled for my MRI this Monday. However, as of yesterday, we haven't gotten the authorization from my medical insurance. We ordered a shed to be installed on November 19th. The area where we're putting it has a 10x10' cement slab, but it has to be cleaned out around it of overgrowth. This Thursday, a crew will be here to do the clearing of the slab.
Update---My wife mamo was rescheduled for Nov 6. It was our fault we had the wrong time, when we realized it we were already late. My wife called to tell them we we running late, they rescheduled the appointment. I have to go down into the basement my daughter told me last night she saw a pipe leak, I want to check it out. I'm hoping it's a candidate for a pipe clamp, instead of resoldering.
Isn't your new home plumbed with plastic of some sort? I've done my share of soldering. I much prefer glue & clamps.
