Yes, he talked about all the negatives of Windmills when he an Joe got on the topics of energy. I learned that somehow, neither seemed to know how it happened, but there was a lake in CA that ran almost the length of the State. People down there are begging for water it sounds like, so there's more than just San Francisco being ruined. Environmentalists go to far, it's not unusual for a lot of different groups of people to go too far with their "ideas". Seems to be no happy medium, it's either "do nothing", or over-do everything.

There's always the sneeky-snakes. Trump gives off "energy" to "we the people" so who wouldn't want to brown-nose their way into Making America Great Again.

Last night I was saying, wow, maybe I can go and try to get a job again when Trump opens up more jobs again :) I had a lot of energy during and after that rally :D

Are you talking about the issue of the government shutting off all of the irrigation water because of one variety of smelt that they say might be endangered ?
I remember President Trump talking about tht in one of the California rallies, and he said he was going to stop that so that California could have water again for all uses, personal and irrigation.

I want to bring up the Tariff thing and see what folks think about that, and while I'm at it, Joe and Trump brought up getting rid of Income Tax, and I think they said tariffs would "replace" Income Tax??

No, I don't think that was mentioned but I could be wrong. Just showed a map of California and the huge lake that used to be there. Also Trump has ways of getting them water and I can't remember what he said now, exactly. I wouldn't doubt him though, seems everything he takes on, and promises gets done ;)

PS Here's one article about Tulare Lake: https://www.indy100.com/science-tech/tulare-lake-2024-2669365399

It does say it vanished along with other waters due to man-made irrigation.

I don't think tariffs would replace the income tax unless most of the Executive Branch was eliminated. The times that Trump referred to when tariffs were the major source of revenue have been gone for a long time. The military would also have to shrink massively. We could perhaps bring back the original "income tax" as it was originally formulated, but the government would still have to shrink by 70% or more.

Can't agree more Ken, Trump is so right about being able to deal with people like putin and chi, Iran. Trump really wants the U.S. to be able to show our power, not by Wars, but by making good deals ;)

I just think it was all about "their" pockets being lined, plus the fact that this administration "apparently" never has, and never will give one care for "we the people".

That helps Don, I just don't understand much about the tariff thing except it would add costs to people like China, or other countries that we "trade" with, and also if an American, like Bill Gates etc. make their "goods" in other countries using cheap labor, they would have to pay more dollars to US. Even Elon would have some changes to make if tariffs are implemented by Trump. I think I understood that last night in Trumps actual speech.

The income tax being lowered a lot, the same percent for all seems more fair to me. I don't like hearing someone has to pay a higher % because they have more money. maybe I'm wrong on that, but someone here will straighten me out here if I am ;)

I have never liked Schumer so it was not uncomfortable to watch him squirm as insults were thrown out about the Dems...I laughed out loud at the Schumer could be the first woman president...comment by Trump

I hear you but can't agree. We need to help out because they can't esp the small Baltic nations, defend themselves against Putin's Russia. Nato is necessary for them. IMO it is a moral duty but only after we take care of 'our own' first.
