Same thing happened to me. You can't even attach an image of 17x18 pixels (1 kb). I tested it to see how low you could go. Videos are completely different.
Many of us are experiencing the error when trying to upload pictures. No matter how small they are resized, the forum software won't allow it. I thought maybe using the thumbnail option might work but it doesn't.
I guess for now the work-around is to use a hosting site (imgur.com is free) and link it here. I don't know how long imgur hangs on to pics for free accounts.
I can not upload pics. It is a small picture and I keep getting an error saying the file is too big. Also, the forum seems to be slow loading. I have high speed internet. It seems to be just this site.
Yes, that happened to me yesterday, too. I wrote a long, beautiful post…….It was the most beautiful post ever…… You will never find another post like it . But then, Kamala, who was born in a middle class neighborhood………. She destroyed it. She destroyed my beautiful post. She destroyed everyone’s posts, and then she lied about it……… she lies and lies……….she lies about everything. Now my beautiful post is gone and she blames it on the forum servers……..but we know the truth. We have to win this election, and then this awful thing will never happen to our beautiful forum again, ever……….. we will have our wonderful, beautiful forum back again…… MFGA ! (Cheering in background)
Anyone else still having problems? I still can’t post a new avatar, nor any pics. The forum is slow loading and sometimes I still get an error saying the forum is not available. And if I understood correctly, if a person doesn’t have an avatar, then no one will respond to you? I guess I will be a ghost then.
We are ALL experiencing these same problems right now. Ken has been in contact with the people who manage the servers, and they are supposed to be working on the situation for us, and once it is done, we will have unlimited bandwidth, according to what they told Ken. Do not worry about the avatar, once the server thing is working, we should all be able to upload photos and pictures again. It is not that we do not respond to people with no avatar, in fact it is usually the opposite. It is people who decide to leave the forum for one reason or another; they seem to think it is important to also remove their avatar, maybe so we will know they are leaving ? In any case, we have at least one person here who has belonged to the forum for several years, and she has no way to upload a photo of any kind or put up an avatar, and we all know that she can’t, and no one thinks anything about it.
I'm just glad I can get on here, and it's just no big deal to me that the site is slower, or I can't put in a pic. At least we can be together here during this stressful time. I'm having the same issues, but we are not in Ken's shoes and for one believe he is doing all he can. We didn't even have a site just a few days ago. I do understand the need for this site, and I live alone, have no one, or anything that interesting to do with my time. But I still say it's better to be able to post and read here. We're a spoiled bunch, at least I know I am. Toughin up butter-cup, which is for me to hear as much as it is anyone else who needs to hear it
